There are so many games and characters at this point that you might occasionally wonder how a character would fare if they were stuck in another game. It’s hard to see Kratos having anything but a great time if he were stuck in one of theResident Evilgames by himself.
While some characters would thrive in other games for obvious reasons, it’s also clear that some would be able to solve others’ problems in an instant. An evil scheme becomes a lot less scary if someone like Dr. Robotnik is suddenly face to face with a space mercenary with a laser cannon strapped to her arm.
10Leeroy Jenkins - Leon Kennedy
The next time Leon Kennedy is trapped in the Raccoon City Police Department, send for Leeroy Jenkins. The unforgettable meme of a character who rose to fame thanks to a clip fromWorld of Warcraftwould make things easier in no time.
Leon is forced to slowly navigate everything in front of him, but Leeroy throws danger to the side because he ain’t no chicken. All he’d need to do is refer to Marvin and Claire as his chums before screaming his own name and sprinting to the end of the game.
9Master Chief - Mario
I’m sure Bowser is a powerful guy, but ifMariotook the time to invest in a deadly weapon of any kind, things would be very different. That’s where Master Chief comes into the equation. Do you really think Bowser is going to be stealing any princesses when Master Chief is there?
Whether his weapon of choice isa blaster rifle or an energy sword, Bowser really isn’t going to do much. He can laugh all he wants, but I’m pretty sure the Koopas can’t block bullets and burning plasma.
8Luigi - Pac-Man
This is the crossover no one knew they needed becausePac-Mancould be so much more of a relaxing experience if Luigi was around. It’s quite simple: Luigi could just suck up those ghosts with his trusty Poltergust, and suddenly all the white dots in the world are yours.
After only a few seconds, Luigi would be free to roam those dark hallways, letting out a little “ooh yeah,” every time he grabbed a dot. That may not sound like much of a game, but those are the breaks when you’ve got the most efficient fictional ghost hunter around.
7The Dragonborn - Link
Link’s adventure inLink’s Awakeningis a cute one, but it is also one that could have been handled so much faster. Link needs to wake the Wind Fish, and while that may require magical instruments in the game, Skyrim’s Dragonborn could get things done in no time.
As long as the Dragonborn has those shouts available, I don’t believe anyone is going to be sleeping anytime soon. Just imagine it: the Dragonborn climbs those steps to the egg, places his face right near it, andjust absolutely Fus Roh Dah’s ituntil the Wind Fish is done having nightmares.
6Max Caulfield - Cody And May
The story at the heart ofIt Takes Twois adorable and one that a lot of people absolutely needed. It’s a cathartic experience, but when it comes to solving problems, catharsis doesn’t matter.
Life is Strange’s Max could make the whole problem go away by simply rewinding time to before the parents were turned into the toys. That takes away from the emotional journey, but sometimes confronting a problem head-on right from the start is the most effective thing.
5Kratos - Geralt
I’m not trying to say that Geralt doesn’t go through a lot inThe Witcher 3, but I am trying to say that Kratos could have done it better.The angry and dad-energy-exudingdemigod would have just gone around screaming at everyone in his vicinity to get the answers he needed.
Seriously, Kratos would have found Ciri’s location in like five minutes while only needing another five to deal with the Wild Hunt. He wouldn’t need some plan with a group of allies to take them on when he’d be tossing his axe around faster than you can say, “Wanna play Gwent?”
4Spyro - Joel And Ellie
If Joel took the words of Gandalf the Grey literally, his problems would have been solved instantly — that is a sentence I never thought I’d write. If Spyro were inThe Last of Usto take Ellie to the Fireflies, everything would have been done in a matter of days.
He’d just fly her above all the danger, and the game is over. That might mean that Ellie is going to end up being sacrificed, making Part 2 a non-issue, but some people might actually prefer that at the end of the day.
3Doomguy - Snake
you may pick pretty much anyMetal Gear Solidgame featuring Snake and Doomguy is going to make everything so much better. The violent little guy is just going to sprint into every conflict and literally tear people limb from limb.
If Doomguy can handle literal Hell demons, I’m pretty sure he can handle a group of enemies who get a bit confused when they see a cardboard box. Everyone would know Doomguy was around thanks to the pools of blood, but there probably wouldn’t be anyone to tell the tale anyway.
2Goose - Chell
The number one way to defeat Glados is obviously to completely disregard everything she’s saying. That is what makes the Goose fromUntitled Goose Gamethe perfect candidate to take her on in Chell’s place.
That mischievous little Goose would just trudge around doing what it wanted to instead of solving chambers in the intended way or listening to Glados’ sass. The whole thing would make Glados so irritated that she’d probably just let the Goose out in hopes that she could get back to some semblance of peace.
1Cloud Strife - Commander Shepard
You might think that the Reapers from theMass Effectseries would be too big of a threat for most characters to take on, but you’d be wrong. Everyone’s favorite pointy-haired blonde anime boy would be ready to take them on with just a single action.
All Cloud would need to do isactivate the Knights of the Round summonand the Reapers would be done for. If the Reapers didn’t get bored and left the galaxy in the middle of the move, they’d be stuck dealing with the looping animation until they were eventually destroyed, leaving Cloud as the savior of all life in the Milky Way.
