Even with a full team, it’s impossible to have eyes everywhere you need them. Micro Cameras are an equippable tool that let youget a visual on the areas where you leave them.
The intended purpose of Micro Cameras is totrack guard movements, and using them that way can save a heist from going sour. However, you can also use Micro Cameras toeasily keep track of passcodesand other information that you find in the environment.
Unless you’ve got a great memory or are willing to take your hand off the controller to jot down a note, forgetting or misremembering information can slow a heist down and put you in danger. By simplyplacing a Micro Camerain front of the information you need to remember, you can just check your character’s phone to ensure there are no mistakes.
5Shoot Out Bulldozer Faceplates
The most dangerous foe you’ll face in Payday 3 is the Bulldozer, a machine-gun-wielding SWAT officer covered head-to-toe in bulletproof armor. He candrop a player in secondsif he catches one out in the open, and he laughs it off even when the entire team empties their clips into him.
As veterans of the previous games know,the Bulldozer’s weakness is his faceplate.It still takes a lot of damage to break through, but once you’ve shattered his faceplate, a Bulldozer can be taken out with a single headshot.
4Stay In Stealth While Masked
Just because you’ve drawn your weapon and donned your mask doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s time to go loud. In fact,strategically timing when you mask upis an important part of most stealth strategies.

Having a silenced weapon allows you todestroy camerasandpick off guardsto smooth your progress through a heist. Depending on the available cover, you can evenstill make your way through civilian areasas long as you can stay low and break line of sight.
Playing with a team, it’s often best to haveat least one player stay unmaskedso that they can relay information from areas that masked players can no longer enter.
3Keep Your Safecracking Progress Even If You Miss
Cracking a safe in Payday 3 requires timing and precision. You need tostop rotating the dialwhen it turns green. It will start to quiver when you get near the correct number, but if you aren’t careful you may go right past it.
If that happens,don’t turn the dial in the other direction.Doing so resets the lock, forcing you to start over. Instead, you cankeep rotating the dialuntil you come all the way around. Now that you know exactly where to stop, you can ensure that you won’t miss on the second try.
Opening a safe this waydoes not reset the lock, letting you save considerable time in getting the goods inside.
2Randomized Features Don’t Change If You Restart The Heist
Each heist has several randomized features, from room positioning to passcodes. These featureschange with each new iteration of a heist, ensuring that you never know exactly what you’re going to be up against.
However, if yourestart a heistfrom the Options menu (by vote if you’re playing with a team),the mapis not re-rolled.This means that as long as you don’t return to the main menu and start a new lobby, you won’t need to spend extra time on the second or third go finding combinations that you already know.
Is it a bit cheesy? Sure, but once you’re playing on Overkill difficulty you’re going to need every advantage you can possibly get.
1Disable All Cameras By Clearing The Security Room
Most heist locations have a Security Room, where a guard is watching the cameras. It usually requires a keycard from another guard to enter, but if you canget in and eliminate the guard, cameras will no longer detect players for the rest of the heist.
If you manage to clear the Security Room without destroying too many cameras, you’re able to even have a playeruse the computer to watch the cameras on their own. You’ll have your very own eye in the sky!
The Security Room usually has twolocked cabinetsthat contain several ammo refills - if things get loud, try to find the keycard and open the cabinets so that you can top up during the assault!
