What Is A Crucifix
TheCrucifix prevents a ghost from beginning a huntwithin its range.Upgrading it will gain you an additional use, for a maximum of two uses. After the crucifix runs out of uses, it will be destroyed, regardless of the tier level. Each tier upgrade alsoincreases the effect rangeof the block. An extra benefit oftier III is having the ability to block one cursed hunt.
What Is A Firelight
Firelights light the areaaround them while alsoslowing the rate at which you lose sanitywithin their range. The first two tiers have a short burn timer, making it crucial to upgrade to tier III.Tier III is waterproof,burns endlessly, and becomesnon-consumable, making it worth the heavy price point.
What Is An Igniter
AnIgniteris used tolight firelights, location candles, and incense. It provides asmall range of lightthat increases with each tier. The burn timer will also increase with each tier, withtier III lasting ten minutes and becoming non-consumable.An added bonus is thattier III is waterproof.
Custom Difficulty allows you to turn off item loss when you die. While you will not gain rewards when playing with this setting, it may be more enjoyable for casual players.
What Is An Incense
LightingIncensewillprevent a ghost from beginning a huntwithin its range. This range increases with each tier upgrade. Using an incenseduring a huntwillslow or even stop the ghost in its tracksfor a short period of time, allowing you to run and hide before it catches up to you. This timeframe also increases with each tier. Tier I will deter the ghost, tier II will deter and slow the ghost, and tier III will cause the ghost to stop moving for its burn duration.
What Is Salt
PlacingSaltpiles around your contract location will allow certain ghosts to leavefootprints that are detectable with the ultravioletlight.Each tier adds an additional use to the item, with a maximum of three uses.Tier IIIhas the added benefit ofslowing ghoststhat pass through itduring a hunt.
What Is Sanity Medication
TakingSanity Medicationwill increase your sanity over a specified timeframe. Tier I takes 30 seconds, Tier II takes 20 seconds, and Tier III takes 10 seconds.Tier III also adds a sprint boost, making it extra helpful when you need a quick escape.
If you are playing on a custom difficulty, you can also increase or decrease the level of sanity that Sanity Medication restores upon consumption.
