Be sure to visit the Fighter over in the Kitchen at Base Camp and ask her to whip up some delicious Dishes using your home-grown ingredients and hard-earned runes, and then equip them for extra protection on your next expedition. In this guide, we’ve kept track of all recipes in Silent Hope and their effects.

Use Dishes To Boost Your Stats

Though your heroes and their equipment is the major deciding factor in how you progress through the Abyss in Silent Hope, you’ll find yourself relying onsome of the dozens of Dishesto offer additional perks as you make your way through the game’s dungeons.

Throughout the Abyss, you’ll be finding differentseeds and foddersin the breakable objects littered across each floor. These raw materials can beprocessed at facilities on the surfaceto be made into useablecooking ingredients.

The Fighter who runsthe Kitchen to the right of the entrance to the Abyssat Base Camp can’t use seeds or fodder, so you’ll need to visit boththe Farm and the Fieldsto have the Archer and Ranger respectively turn your materials into resources.

TheArcheroperates theFarm, and they can be found just to the right of the Great Crystal at Base Camp. Here, you’ll hand over yourassorted foddersfrom the Abyss, and you’ll soon receivedairy productsin exchange.

On the other hand, theRangeris in charge of theFieldsjust below the Farm. She sows yourseedsinto the field at Base Camp and returnsfresh producefor use at the Kitchen.

Once you have a good mix of items, speak to the Fighter (or the Wanderer) at the Kitchen, and you’ll receive the option tocreate Dishes before exploring the Abyss.

This may prove critical to your progress, aseach Dish in Silent Hope offers a different stat increase or elemental immunity boostwhen brought into the Abyss.

Therefore, you’ll find yourself relying onsmart combinations of dishesto balance different types of damage or ailments during your explorations.

You canequip up to three dishes per exploration in the Abyss, so swap out dishes and check that you have the right boosts before entering your next dungeon crawl.

Unlock New Recipes After Boss Fights And When Finding New Material

While you’ll receive a handful of recipes by default at the beginning of the game,new recipes unlock after major story events, such asboss or mini-boss fights.

Following these more difficult battles, you’ll always receive some manner of reward in atreasure chest on the other side of the arenawhere you just fought your opponent.

Break the cheston your way out to unlock anew recipe, as well as occasionally runes or gear.

Additionally, when you first begin discoveringnew seeds and foddersupon reaching new layers of the Abyss, you’ll progressively unlock recipes with which to use the new crops. Check into the Kitchen when you’ve finished growing a new crop or producing a new animal product!

The Princess' Sometimes Rewards You With Food For Completing Challenges

It won’t be long before you’re neck-deep in theoptional challengesoffered by the Princess up at Base Camp. To check them out, speak to her in herGreat Crystaland scroll through her trials.

You’ll find yourself completing plenty of these Silent Hope challenges just by going through the game normally, as they include tasks likedefeating enemiesor reachingset levels for each hero.

The menu shows you the reward for completing each task. This is largely runes, but you’ll notice that plenty of these tasks alsooffer Dishes as a reward, some of whichyou may not have access toon your own yet.

Check the challenge list oftento collect rewards and experiment with different Dishes in Silent Hope to see what works best for you. Thesestack with equipment bonuses and boosts, so try out different combinations to power up your heroes in different ways.
