Genshin Impacthas many quest lines that need you to keep your eyes peeled for some hidden items. Sometimes collecting materials for one quest will even require that you complete other side quests, which means collecting even more materials. The Ancient Colors quest line is a great example of this.

As you go through that quest, and help Mamere repair Seymour, you will need to complete other side quests in Merusea Village. A little Melusine called Canotila will give you a special side quest where you need to locate and decipher some items called Enigmatic Pages that can be found all over Fontaine. Help her, and you will be rewarded.

How To Get Started

Though you might stumble upon one at any time, the Enigmatic Pages arepart of a side quest called The Book of Esoteric Revelations,you may only unlock access to it by at least partially completing the Ancient Colors quest line.

You may collect most of the pages without starting the side quest, but you won’t be able todecipher them for a rewardif you do that. Page 12 is also locked behind this side quest.

Additionally,some locations are locked behind other World Quests, like The Institute of Natural Philosophy, which you will gain access to through completingAqueous Tidemarks, and Annapausis, which you unlock throughcompleting The Narzissenkreuz Adventure.

The order in which you gather the pages is irrelevant. We have listed each page’s location independently.

Enigmatic Page One Location

The first Enigmatic Page can be foundinside a cave in the Beryl Region.

You will be able to quickly find it byfast-traveling to the Teleport Waypointat the edge of the broken bridge by the waterfall.Glide South over the bridge, and you should immediately notice a dirt path thatleads to some ruins within the mountain.

You will have todefeat some Rifthoundsto be able to claim the Exquisite Chest found inside this cave;that is where the Enigmatic Page is located.

Enigmatic Page Two Location

The second Enigmatic Page iswithin the remains of Elynas.

If this is yourfirst time in this part of the Beryl Region, don’t approach the waterfallfrom the South if you want to avoid startingthe Ancient Colors quest.

Dive near the waterfall in this region to be able to access thebig cave system that exists within its corpse. The area called “A Very Warm Place” isreally close to where you first surface, so you should have no trouble finding it.

You will leave the water andfind yourself in a mostly empty space. There will be atunnel in front of you, leading further down. Jump through, and don’t forget toopen your Wind Glider as you descendsince there is nothing to catch you. Once at the bottom, head Westtoward the small waterfall.

There will be someBreacher Primus' on top of the waterfall. You may go around the strange glowing blue crystal in the center toavoid them if you wish.

You have touse the mechanism you will encounterthere to unearth the chest. Fortunately, it’s as simple asaiming a hit in the direction of the formationyou want to break with the shockwave the crystal will release.

TheEnigmatic Page will be inside the Common Chestyou will get from completing this puzzle.

Enigmatic Page Three Location

The third Enigmatic Page is also found in Elynas, though this one is above the surface. The location is perhaps theeasiest one to reach, but the page is locked behind acombat challenge.

Fast travel to the Teleport Waypoint Southof the sharp ribcage formation. The symbol on the ground should bedirectly on your right.

To engage in this battleall you have to do is step into the diagram. Several waves of Rifthounds will begin to spawn, attacking someglowing crystals within the formation. Make quick work of them to obtain aPrecious Chest and the third Enigmatic Page.

Enigmatic Page Four Location

This page is foundwithin the Institute of Natural Philosophy, which is an area of the map you canunlock through completing the World QuestAqueous Tidemarks.

This particular page isnot hidden anywhere.You will find it very easily in the half submergedroom with the Primal Construct. It is above the surface,only a few steps away from the puzzleand mechanism that you use to unlock the gate in Aqueous Tidemarks. The page isin a small chest across from a readable Ancient Log.

Enigmatic Page Five Location

This particular page isnowhere that is accessible through completing Aqueous Tidemarks. It is hidden so that you return to the institute to explore the area later on. To get it, you willfirst need to find the Key to Some Place in the Institute.

With the key in your inventory, head to the Teleport Waypoint in thehalf submerged room in the institute, the one with the Primal Construct in the center.Swim through the gate on your left, then head forward past the small hallway into the hole in the ground. Swim through the only door in this area,climb up the stairs, then take a right. You will find a switch mechanism therewhere you may use the key.

A door will open; it leads to asecret hallway, at the end of which you will find another mechanism. Interact with it to be let into another secret room. You will find some Kamerassurrounding an Oozing Concretion, exactly like the ones in the Chasm.The Enigmatic Page will be on a desk to the left of this specimen.

Where Is The Key To Some Place In The Institute?

Return to the chamber where you foughtthe self-healing Ruin Grader during the Aqueous Tidemarks quest. Most things will remain untouched, exceptthe Ruin Grader is gone, and the glass is now broken;the room that was previously filled with wateris now completely empty. There is a desk there that will show you a prompt to read something on it as you approach.

Interacting with the desk will transport you to a secret room, the central hub of the Narzissenkreuz Ordo. Walk across that room past the conference table in the middle of the room, andyou will find a desk.

There will be two chests by this desk, one on either side. The Exquisite Chest on the leftholds the key you are looking for.

The Precious Chest on the rightholds a different quest item.You will not need thisto access or interact with the Enigmatic Pages in any way.

Enigmatic Page Six Location

As with the previous page, this page can be found in a location that isonly accessible after completing Aqueous Tidemarks.

To get it, you will need toreturn to the chamber where you faced off against the self-healing Ruin Grader once again. You will see one of those propelling Hydro mechanisms on top of a Ruined Pillar. Use it to bepropelled to a platform above. You will find aswitch mechanism in the corner.

Activate it, and it will reveal a room. There will be a Remarkable Chest inside, andthe Enigmatic Page you are looking for will be in the bookshelf next to it.

Enigmatic Page Seven Location

This page is located in Annapausis, an area thatyou can only access after you begin the Narzissenkreuz Adventure World Quest.

To find it, fast travel to theTeleport Waypoint by the entrance. Head West along the path, thenjump down where you see a Ruin structure. The Enigmatic Page will be inside,in a broken shelf.

Enigmatic Page Eight Location

This page isalso found in the Institute of Natural Philosophy.

You will find it, specifically, in thesame hidden room where page five is located. Instead of turning back and leaving the room through the entrance,cross it to the other end, where there is another switch mechanism. The page will bein the bookshelf that is before the mechanism.

Enigmatic Page Nine Location

This page is also located in Annapausis, and it is a bit trickier to get.

You will be able to find this page at thevery top of the largest tower, the one where the Oceanid rests. Getting to the top is quite the challenge, though, sinceit’s a long way up and climbing would take some time.

If you havefinished the Narzissenkreuz Adventure World Quest, you have the option to drop down onto the towerfrom the water above.

There is a puzzlein this area that canhelp you reach the top of the tower quickly, and you will also get a precious chest in the process! To uncover it,climb onto the bridge-like pillar on the left sideof the tower. This willonly work once.

Enigmatic Page 11 Location

Page 11 is located insidethe Narzissenkreuz Ordo secret room.

To get it, you need tointeract with the desk in the room where the Ruin Grader previously was. It will teleport you to the hidden location, whereyou will only need to head right, and you will find a glittering spot on a pile of chests, books, and other stuff.This is where the Enigmatic Page is.

Enigmatic Page 12 Location

This page isonly accessible after you’ve spoken to Canotilaand started her quest,The Book of Esoteric Revelations.

To find it, you will needCanotila to open the pathway to the ‘Secret Location’in A Very Warm Place, Inside Elynas. Swim through, and you will arrive at the location of the book.There is a passage if you walk past itwhere you will find some more books scattered on the floor.The Enigmatic Page will be among these books.

Enigmatic Page 13 Location

The last page, page 13,can only be acquired after you’ve completed the entire Ancient Colors quest line. You will be able to purchase it fromXana’s store in Merusea Village.

You probably counted your pagesa few times before realizing that you were missing one page, right?All pages are numbered with the corresponding Roman numerals, but where is page ten?This page simply doesn’t exist. So, when you’vecollected all 12 pagesyou’re just about ready to call it a day here.
