You’ll end up doing quite a lot of flirting and dating during your time in Azoria, but who will you end up with in the end? In this guide, we’re giving you everything you need to know about all six romance options in Fae Farm.

Complete Marriage Guide: An Overview Of Romance In Fae Farm
In Fae Farm, althoughyou don’thaveto go on dates or get marriedif you’d rather skip that aspect of a farming sim andfocus more on the assorted skillsor quests in the game, you’ve got the choice between several charming romance options in Fae Farm if you do decide to take a life partner! At time of publish, there aresix base game marriage candidatesin Fae Farm, and anotherthree were addded in the Skies of Azoria DLCin June 2024.
Like in real life,the more you interact with your beloved, the closer you two become. If you have your sights set on someone,speak to them every dayto gain the most affection the quickest way possible. Each day, you’ll have the opportunity togive giftsto the single of your dreams.The item they want changes every dayfrom a pool of things they like, and while they’ll typically ask forthe same list of things, the specific daily item is likely to be different.
As such,you’ll only have that day to get them that item- the requested gift will be different the following day.
Though you can only give them these specific gifts, and only when requested, you’ll be able toaccept love quests from potential partnersto further your relationship a bit more for the day. They’ll often requestspecific meals, seasonal ingredients, mining resources, or occasionally things outside these categories. You’ll need to speak to them to accept the quest, speak to them again to give them the item(s), and speak to them a third time to complete the quest.
When growing closer to the romance candidates, you’ll see your farmer cycle through a few different, progressively more seriousrelationship statuseswith the romance candidates while dating in Fae Farm. You’ll watch the relationship progress from:
Strangers > Flirting > Interested > Dating > Getting Serious > Spouse
You’ll notice in the Romance tab thatromance candidates progress separatelyfrom all the platonic friends you’re making around Azoria.All romance candidates gain affection instead of friendshipwhen you speak to them. You can still build the relationship each day, but just beware thatthere’s no platonic option for the romance candidates- you’re either actively dating, or they become “Old Flames” once you marry someone else.
Go On Dates With Everyone
On the bright side, it seemsnobody cares that you’re dating around- the romance candidates in Fae Farm never seem to mind, even if they see you with someone else! This means you can really socialize and see who you like best before settling down without fear of repercussion.
After speaking to a romance candidate a few times and seeing your relationship status change, you’llreceive a letter in the mail asking you on a date. To accept, simplyfind the senderof the letter in town and select"Go On Date"from the menu. When you do, you’ll be treated to an adorable visual novel-stylecutscene of your farmer and that romance candidateout and about together in one of a few spots around town.
Your date willtell you stories and facts about themselvesto let you get to know them better, and you’ll often leave the date feelingnoticeably closer to that romance candidate. There’s one of these scenes for every level of your relationship with each marriage candidate in Fae Farm, so feel free to explore!
How To Get Married
Once you have your heart set on someone, marriage in Fae Farm is fairly straightforward, although less involved than in other farming sims like it.
First, you’ll need toprogress to the “Getting Serious” rank,and have gone on the"Last Date" with your special someone. After both requirements have been fulfilled, you’ll soon begin to notice the"Propose Marriage" option when speaking to themout and about in town. As soon as you select this option, the game warns you that marriage is serious, and you’ll need toconfirm your decisiona final time before your partner accepts the proposal in an adorable little dialogue.
In order to get a marriage license, you’ll need togive Mayor Merritt 10,000 Florins. Save up if you don’t already have it on hand, and plan accordingly when you hand it in -your wedding will be the day after you pay the Mayorfor the license. The next morning, you’llchoose your wedding attirefrom a list of options. The town congregates in a short scene at Town Hall, and Mayor Merritt pronounces you married.
After this, yourpartner moves into your houseand will spend their time around the farm, now withSpouseas their social title when you speak to them. All other romance candidates will be listed as “Old Flames” from here out, and youcan no longer go on dates with the other romance candidates.
There’s an occasional bug where significant others go immediately to being your spouse before any wedding prep is complete, so just be mindful when proposing.
Can You Get Divorced In Fae Farm?
While there’s no technical option to divorce in Fae Farm, you canclear a marriageinstead by choosing towipe your spouse’s memory of the relationship. This can be done with any relationship you’d like to revert to the Stranger status, regardless of if you’re married. It’s essentially an all-encompassing breakup tool.
To do this, go into theRelationships tabof the menu, the top right option with a Polaroid.Find the personwhose relationship you’d like to wipe, and check your console’s specific options in the bottom right corner of the screen to see which button exactlyresets a relationship. The game warns you before youconfirm your choice, and the relationshipimmediately resets to “Strangers"again.
This relationship wipe can be done with both romantic partners andtownsfolk you’re on a friendly basiswith as well.
It doesn’t always seem to work right, but when it does, you’ll clear the title of Spouse, that character returns to the Stranger status, and your old flings regain their former status from before you were married.
All Marriage Candidates, Locations, And The Gifts They Enjoy
In the base game, you’ll havesix marriage candidates in Azoria. Some of them don’t arrive until after you’vefinished the Saltwater Mines questlineandcleared the whirlpools from the harborto allow ships to dock once again. Additionally, theSkies of Azoria DLC added three new romance optionsin the DLC realm of Skyvale, but they’re only available if you have the DLC.
The majority of the Azorian romance options head over to the Inn early in the morning and late at night, hanging out in the center and left two rooms, so it’s an easy way to sweep through and do a little flirting and gifting all in one convenient spot.

The Skies of Azoria marriage candidates may move around as you progress through the content added in the DLC before all ending up back in Windhaven once you’re finished. We’ve accounted for this in the table below. Phoebe stays in place in Windhaven, but Gryff and Kestrel are part of the storyline and move islands accordingly.
