But with a three-digit number of shrines to find – someratherhidden – it’s a big undertaking to try to find every shrine in Tears of the Kingdom! Our guide features all 152 shrine locations in Tears of the Kingdom, with coordinates, location notes, and more.
In our Tears of the Kingdom shrine location guide, we’ve covered plenty of the shrines in individual guides.

If thename of a Shrine Challenge has a hyperlinkin the tables in our TOTK shrine locations guide, the link takes you to afull guide for that shrine.
This guide contains spoilers for Tears of the Kingdom.
What Are Shrines?
In Tears of the Kingdom, just like they did in Breath of the Wild, shrines are structures litteredall around Hyrulethat offershort, voluntary challenges.
You neverhaveto do shrines, but doing so rewards you with aLight of Blessing. And bycollecting fourof them, you cantrade with a Goddess Statuefor eitherone Heart Containeror asegment of a Stamina Wheel.

These can be swapped, if you trade them in for one reward at a Goddess Statue and then realize you’d rather have the other option!
That said, indoing all 152 shrinesin Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll have all the stamina and heartsthat Link can have in no time.

The shrines in Tears of the Kingdom are quite varied inthe challenges that await you inside each shrine. These can be things like:
Shrines can beout in the open, inside of caves, or related to Templesin the game as well. You’ll be looking far and wide, over and under, so prepare to explore the bulk of Hyrule.

The game offers avisual difference between shrines you’ve done and new shrines, thankfully!
Shrines you haven’t finished yetwill appear in Hyrule withblue and green swirls around them. On the opposite end, once you’ve finished a shrine, it will still be active, but as agray rockto prevent you from doubling back.

You Don’t Have To Complete Shrines To Use Them As Warp Points
Since there are so many shrines in Tears of the Kingdom spread far and wide across Hyrule, you’ll soon find the merit inusing shrines as warp pointsas you play on.
A shrine will bemarked on your map of Hyruleas soon as youget close enough to it to trigger the name appearing on your screen, which is typically when you see agreen circleappear at the front of the shrine.

At this point, the shrine location is marked on your map. It will befully orange, to denote that ithasn’t been activated yet.
Toactivate a shrine, you need tointeract with the green circle. This opens the shrine challenge, turning the symbol on your mappartially blue around the outside, but you’ll notice thatthe middle is still orange.

After a shrine has been activated, you can fast travel thereby selecting the shrine icon on your map and selecting"Travel."
While it’s definitely helpful to do so,you don’t have to do shrines as soon as you find them. Maybe you’re in the middle of a quest and don’t want to interrupt yourself, or you’re sprinting to unlock everything before diving into the thick of the game.

Whatever the reason, you can fast travel to shrines you haven’t actually finished yet- justas long as you activated thembefore leaving, you’ll be able to warp there from the map.
Shrines you’ve finished arecompletely blueon your map to help tell the difference.
