Destiny 2 Season Of The Witch Altars Of Summoning Eris Empowered

This week’s challenges offer large XP bundles, most of which are tied to fairly easy objectives. This guide will showcase how to complete all eight challenges this week, the rewards you may expect, and offer some tips on how to complete them as quickly as possible.

Acolyte’s Ascent V:Complete Week 5 of “The Bladed Path” quest.

Reward

The fifth week of “The Bladed Path” requires you tocomplete five Altars of Summoning encounters and clear the Imbaru Engine. The Altars of Summoning may be done at any difficulty, although we recommend doing T2 or T3 since you’ll receive more progress for the Master Magus challenge.

The Imbaru Engine is a unique activity that’s centered around puzzles. You must open chests of a certain symbol type, deducing which chests are correct based on environmental clues. You only have to open one chest to finish the quest, although you’ll want to complete the entire thing for the Mist and Mysteries challenge.

Master Magus

Master Magus:Complete combat encounters in the Altars of Summoning. More difficult encounters grant bonus progress.

Master Magus requires you tocomplete 20 combat encounters in the Altars of Summoning, with higher tiers granting far more progress. We recommend farming T2 or T3 Altars of Summoning to get this done quickly. By the time you finish the Altars objective for this week’s seasonal quest, you should be close to finished with this challenge.

Runic Rifles

Runic Rifles:Defeat targets with Scout Rifles or Sniper Rifles. Earn bonus progress by defeating Guardians or by defeating combatants in Season of the Witch activities.

Runic RIfles requires you todefeat 200 enemies with Scout RIfles or Sniper Rifles.Season of the Witch activities grant bonus progress, so we recommend farming the Savathun’s Spire or Altars of Summoning activities to get this done quickly.

Destiny 2 Season Of The Witch Opaque Card

As for weapon recommendations, nearly any Scout Rifle will serve you well. Some good options includePolaris Lance, Dead Man’s Tale, Fang of Ir Yut, and Hung Jury.

Mist And Mysteries

Mist and Mysteries:Solve the Cunning Test in the Imbaru Engine and identify Minor Arcana.

The Minor Arcana objective is retroactive.

The Cunning Test is more or less the objective of the Imbaru Engine activity. You’ll need to open six correctly labeled chests in the activityto finish this objective. Each chest will have a nearby symbol that reveals if it’s trapped or not. Open six of them correctly, and you will pass the Cunning Test.

The second half of this challenge requires you touncover 15 Minor Arcana cards. You can earn these by completing Season of the Witch activities and by spending Witch’s Keys.Minor Arcana cardsare also a reward type in the RItual Table at the H.E.L.M. Keep playing this season’s core activities, and you should have this finished in a couple of play sessions.

Destiny 2 Malediction Ritual Hand Cannon

Rewards

This challenge is retroactive.

Malediction is this season’s ritual Hand Cannon, obtained byreaching rank 16 with any of the Tower’s ritual vendors—Commander Zavala, Lord Shaxx, or the Drifter. We find that leveling with Shaxx (PvP) is the fastest of the bunch. Gambit is also an option if you have a good build.Do not farm Vanguard Ops, as the reputation gains from that playlist are incredibly slow unless you’re farming GM Nightfalls.

Fleeting Glory

Fleeting Glory:Complete Crucible matches in the Competitive playlist. Earn bonus progress for wins.

Fleeting Glory requires you tocomplete eight Crucible matches in the Competitive playlist.Referred to as ‘Comp’ by most, this playlist uses an aggressive version of Skill-Based Matchmaking (SBMM for short) and tends to bias objective-oriented game types. Matches will be difficult, so bring your best builds and weapons.

Destiny 2 PvP Year 1

You only have to complete the Competitive matches for this challenge; wins aren’t needed. Get a fireteam together before attempting this if you’re interested in winning. More casual players should boot up Comp and focus on playing with their teammates. Pay attention to your radar, don’t take unnecessary fights, and remember to use your Super.

Destiny 2 Wavesplitter

Special Forces:Defeat combatants with weapons that use Special ammunition.

Special Forces is a straightforward challenge. You’ll need todefeat 150 enemies with Special weaponsin any activity to finish this challenge. By far your best options areWave-Frame Grenade Launchers and Trace Rifles.Forbearance, Retraced Path, Dead Messenger, and Wavesplitter are some great options. As for kills, we recommend farming Savathun’s Spire or Altars of Summoning to progress other Seasonal Challenges.

Higher Caliber

Higher Caliber:Defeat Guardians in Crucible or Gambit with SMGs, Bows, Scout Rifles, Sniper Rifles, or Machine Guns. Earn bonus progress for Sniper Rifle or Machine Gun final blows.

Higher Caliber’s description is somewhat misleading. This challenge requires you todefeat 100 Guardians with SMGs, Bows, Scout Rifles, Sniper Rifles, or Machine Guns.Defeating combatants in Gambit doesnotcount.

Destiny 2 Rift PvP Gameplay

Crucible is the best game type for farming Guardian kills. Any fast-paced variants like Momentum Control, Mayhem, and Team Scorched work here. As for weapons, SMGs and Bows are good options. If you’re playing a game type with ample Heavy ammo, be sure to bring a Machine Gun to gain bonus progress on Heavy kills.
