Genshin’s Impact’s 4.0 patch update added some long-awaited characters to the roster, some of which were first shown all the way back when the game was first released and have remained a mystery ever since. The magician’s assistant, Lynette, was one of those characters. With her grand debut, we were finally able to learn her role in the Fontaine chapter, as well as the roles she can serve in our party.

Lynette will be joining Barbara, Xiangling, and Collei as one of the permanently available, free, four-star characters the game will gift you as you level up your Adventure Rank. To fully take advantage of this surprisingly capable and versatileOusia-alignedunit, you will need to farm her ascension and talent materials, which are almost exclusively found in the Fontaine region.
Lynette’s Ascension Materials
Lynette will need two different overworld materials to ascend,a regional specialty from the Fontaine region, and some regular mob drops. The quantity and quality requirements willincrease along with her phases. She will also needa specific type of world boss dropand some jades of thecorresponding element.
Lastly, each ascension phase will have aset cost in Morathat will also go up along with her phases. Each ascension phase will require the following materials:

Where To Get Everamber
Everamber is a material that can be obtained from theweekly boss domainThe Realm of Beginnings, making this the only material Lynette uses that isnot found in Fontaine.
To farm it, you will have to return to the desert in Sumeru.You will find this domain undergroundin the stretch of land between theDesert of Hadramaveth and Gavireh Lajavard.
This trounce domain isonly unlocked after you complete Sapientia Oromasdis Act 2,Nahida’s second story quest.
Everamber is one of three potential drops you can get from challenging this domainfrom level 70 onwards.
Do keep in mind thatrewards are completely randomized, though, as is the case with other weekly bosses. So, gathering all the materials you need to max out talents might take a while, depending on your luck.
If you have someDream Solventhandy, you canconvert materials using a crafting benchin any of the main cities or your Serenitea Pot. However, whether you get any Dream Solvent from weekly boss challenges is also RNG based.
