When the day is done and you’re all out of spell slots, there’s nothing like a long rest with yourBaldur’s Gate 3party. Typically, this is a good chance for the story to progress too, as your companions often get unique cutscenes before you head off to bed. However, if you’re all caught up on them, you’re instead greeted by a shot of your party members all tucked into their bedrolls, snoring away.
Now, a fan has managed to isolate all of these snoring sounds, so you may listen to every individual Baldur’s Gate 3 character sleep. Well, aside fromShadowheart, because she doesn’t actually snore. Everyone else though absolutely does though, and it’s hilarious. Seriously,Lae’zel, you need to see a doctor ASAP. You sound like you’re fighting for your life out there, girlie.

This discovery comes courtesy of Tumblr user Merrinla, who shared separate snoring audio files for each companion. Turns out, there’s much more snoring audio than we usually hear in the game. Like, a lot more. Given how loud some of our companions are too, it’s a wonder anyone is getting any sleep at all.
Lae’zel’s is the most noteworthy. Turns out, the Githyanki noses don’t make for a quiet sleep. She snores like my pug. There’s no way that Shadowheart hasn’t picked a fight with her over that.
Karlach is another loud snorer, but at least this one sounds a little more healthy. She has the kind of snoring that would make her partner kick her awake at 2am, rather than take her to a hospital. She’s also mumbling something in her sleep, but given that she can literally never stay still, that’s hardly surprising.
Similarly, I’m quite taken aback by the lack of grace in Astarion’s snoring. Like Shadowheart, I’d expect him to be a quiet sleeper. Apparently not, though. That being said, I’m sure that he’d insist that he is.
Jaheira’s also stands out from the crowd, but not because it’s annoying. No, it’s actually kind of sad. The druid sounds like she’s having a pretty awful nightmare, which as players of the first twoBaldur’s Gategames will know, isn’t very surprising. Seriously, the woman has been through it. I hope she gets to retire after Baldur’s Gate 3 and leave all the fighting to someone else. I’d say saving Faerûn thrice is enough to earn a holiday.
So, if you want to pretend that you’re at camp with the Baldur’s Gate 3 gang, go ahead and play these on a loop. No, seriously, I’m not even judging. We’re all down bad, so we might as well be honest about it.
