Who Is Yenna?

Yenna is a little girl who approaches you when you arrive inRivington, at thestart of Act Three.

Surprisingly, however, Yenna isactually just an innocent little girl—for now!.Unfortunately for her, however, Yenna’s story quickly becomes hijacked by one of the game’s antagonists:Orin the Red, a murderous changeling woman who serves Bhaal, the God of Murder.

What Happens If You Invite Yenna To Your Camp

There are several scenarios that can occur if you invite Yenna and her cat, Grub, to your camp after learning about her separation from her mother. All of them, however, involveher abduction at the hands of Orin the Redone way or another.

Gortash’s Warning

If you encounterGortash atWyrm’s Rock Fortress, he’ll warn you of animposter at your camp.

Though there is no way to figure out whom exactly the imposter is initially, a long rest will reveal them asOrin the Red—she’ll have taken the place of one of your companions, and willhold them hostage in exchange for usurping Gortash.

It appears that the kidnapped companion ischosen at randomfrom your camp, from anyone whoisn’t in your active party. Keep your best friends close while you’re in Baldur’s Gate.

Cat Stew

In this scenario, Yenna will offer you some soup during a long rest at camp. After you drink it (or decline), “Yenna” will reveal that the soup is made from her pet cat Grub, and that this “Yenna” is actuallyOrin the Red in disguise.

Orin will reveal that she’skidnapped the real Yenna, and willhold her hostagefor the aforementioned ultimatum.

In The Sewers

This time, Yenna can be found beingchased through the sewers(near the Emperor’s Hideout) by Orin the Red—only for her to reveal that she’s actuallyOrin in disguise, and that Orin hasYenna or one of your companions hostagein exchange for the aforementioned ultimatum.

The Missing Companion

Here, you’ll find one of your companions holding Yenna at knifepoint, claiming thatshe’s a doppelgangerwho snuck into the camp. You’ll have the choice toconvince the companion to stand down, or toencourage them to kill Yenna.

In this case, however, it’s the companion who is Orin in disguise—regardless of whether you let her kill Yenna or not, Orin will reveal thatshe’s kidnapped the companionwhom she was disguised as, and will—surprise!—again, hold them hostageuntil you usurp Gortash.

Should You Invite Yenna To Your Camp

Ultimately, it seems that itmakes very little differencewhether Yenna joins your camp or not—she or your companion will still bekidnapped and held hostage by Orinregardless.

In this case, it may be best todo what best fits your player character’s playstyle.
