Every summer, the ever-popular MOBALeague of Legendslaunches some sort of summer event, that typically comes with a unique rotating game mode. This year, the event is called Soul Fighters and is inspired by famous fighting games such asStreet FighterandTekken, with a unique mode that features eight players battling it out in teams of two within a brand-new arena.

In an effort to make this game mode more interesting, there are a variety of silver, gold, and prismatic augments that randomly spawn in between rounds, each offering you different bonuses and abilities to assist you in battle. If you are curious about which augments are the best in the game, check out the list below.
12Damage Increasers - Silver
While this entry may include three different augments, each of them adds a hefty amount of damage to your character by increasing your base stats. Specifically, the three augments are Deft, Witchful Thinking, and Blunt Force, which each add 50% attack speed, 70 ability power, and 10% attack damage.
All of these choices are fantastic early-game augments, as they give you a quick boost to your stats before you can build different items. However, keep in mind that these augments are best chosen during the first or second augment round, as their impact will significantly fall off as the game progresses.

11Infernal Soul - Silver
In a regular match of League of Legends, there are six different types of dragon souls that you may claim every 5 minutes. After earning four of these souls, you will gain a permanent buff that improves your damage, healing, or movement speed.
The Infernal Soul augment utilizes one of these buffs mentioned above, which causes your attacks to deal bonus damage every few seconds. As this augment stays equipped for the entirety of your arena match, it is a nice upgrade to collect early, since your damage will constantly get buffed without you having to do anything.

10Executioner - Silver
If you find yourself having trouble finishing off pesky enemies, then consider picking up the Executioner augment if you are lucky enough to find it randomly during the upgrade phase of the match. This causes all of your damage to get buffed by 15% whenever you attack an enemy that is below 50% health.
Furthermore, getting a takedown on an enemy causes your basic ability’s cooldowns to get completely refreshed, ensuring that you can continue to dish out this deadly damage.

9Recursion - Gold
As there are many champions in League of Legends thatapply damage through their abilities, the Recursion augment allows you to pump out this damage at an even faster rate. Specifically, this augment simply gives you 60 ability haste, which shortens the cooldowns of all of your abilities.

While this augment is certainly incredible on the correct characters, we recommend picking this augment up if you are playing bruisers or mages, as they rely on their abilities to deal damage. Other champions, such as ADCs should instead focus on different augments.
8Shrink Ray - Gold
Auto attacks in League of Legends can apply a variety of on-hit effects, and the Shrink Ray augment only serves to boost these capabilities while also providing a nice amount of survivability. While you have this augment equipped, your basic attacks will cause the shrink status effect, which makes the character smaller and deal 15% less damage for three seconds.
If you are someone who attacks extremely quickly, such as an ADC, then you may continually apply the augment, thus refreshing the cooldown and forcing your opponents to permanently deal 15% less damage.

7Lightning Strikes - Gold
While the Lightning Strikes augment may only be advantageous onADC champions, you should never underestimate just how powerful this augment can make you. If you are playing as an ADC, you’ll find yourself constantly building items that give you a vast amount of attack speed, which will be converted into attack damage with this augment.
Sadly, if you are not playing a character that attacks quickly, then there is almost no reason to ever pick up this augment, limiting the number of characters that can successfully use this upgrade.

6Blade Waltz - Prismatic
The Blade Waltz augment allows you to utilize Fiora’s old ultimate ability, which was removed from the game whenshe was reworked. Specifically, this overpowered ability is essentially Master Yi’s Q, as it makes you completely untargetable while you deal damage to whomever you have selected.
While this may seem like a nice burst of free damage, you can actually cast this ability while performing other actions, thus making this augment game-breaking. We recommend picking this augment up if you are playing a character like Samira, as you can activate her ultimate ability and then use blade waltz, meaning that the enemy team can not stop you from dealing damage.

5Ultimate Revolution - Prismatic
If you have selected a champion with an overpowered ultimate ability, then consider selecting the Ultimate Revolution augment, as it allows you to cast this ability twice during each specific fight. This is best utilized onsupport championswith peeling ultimates, or on-hit carries such as Kayle who becomes invincible when they cast their ultimates.

While this prismatic augment is certainly powerful, remember to only select it if you are playing a character with a long ultimate cooldown. Characters such as Kassadin should never pick up this augment, as their ultimate refreshes almost instantly.
4Scoped Weapons - Gold
If you want to have some fun while playing the new Arena game mode, then the Scope Weapons augment is a great way of changing up how League is fundamentally played. This augment adds either 100 or 200 extra attack range on your auto attacks, depending on if you are a ranged or melee character.
Picking this augment on champions such as Gwen or Nilah allows you to deal massive damage with their auto-attacks, while actually playing like a long-ranged sniper. Furthermore, even champions who already have large attack radiuses, such as Jinx or Senna, will still greatly appreciate this upgrade.

3Infernal Conduit - Prismatic
Similar to the item Liandry’s Anguish, the Infernal Conduit augment applies a magic damage burn to whomever you damage, causing the recipient to take damage over a period of time. However, this augment takes the burn a step further, as it also reduces your basic ability cooldowns whenever the damage is applied.
Furthermore, by attacking with more than one ability, you can add a stack to the burn, causing it to deal even more damage. This augment is best used on characters like Heimerdinger or Zyra, who can apply the burning an area with their abilities.
