PlayStationhas taken a slightly different approach to the wayPS5owners can change the way their consoles look than it has done with previous generations. Rather than release entirely new consoles with different colors and patterns on their exterior, the PS5’s cover can be removed and replaced with a different one. There are a variety of covers already available, but none of them have been nearly as popular as theSpider-Mandesign created to celebrate the upcoming Insomniac sequel.

The PS5’s Spider-Man covers sold out almost instantly when they first went on sale via PlayStation Direct and much of the same has been happening everywhere else they appear, including Amazon. If you have been waiting in eternal queues for them whenever a fresh batch of stock drops, all hope is not lost, not yet. Best Buy has confirmed when it will have more Spidey covers in stock, you’ll just need to jump through a couple of additional, but entirely free, hoops to get your hands on one.

Spider-Man PS5

Confirmed byWario64, Best Buy has revealed it will gradually roll out stock of all three of the new Spider-Man PS5 accessories next week, starting with the covers on October 18. The news was confirmed by the Best Buy Drops app, and it seems you might well need the app to get some next week, although I’m not entirely sure of that. Even if you don’t, I’d recommend downloading it and signing up as you will then get a notification whenever the covers are in stock.

Spider-Man 2 PS5 Faceplates

The Spider-Man special edition PS5 faceplates feature the same design as the PS5 bundle. Instead of the entire console, you can simply buy these and swap the original faceplates out.

If you want more than just the covers, then the Spider-Man PS5 will be available again the following day on October 19, and then the SpideyDualSensewill be back at Best Buy on October 20. That date is significant because it’s the dayMarvel’s Spider-Man 2will finally be here. It’s certainly no coincidence that Best Buy has decided to count down to that momentous day by releasing various stock connected to the series on the two days leading up to it and then on the day itself.

If you’re tired of trying to get a Spider-Man cover, or you want multiple new looks for your current-gen PlayStation console, the Deep Earth collection is now available to pre-order. PlayStation revealed its shiny new covers and DualSense controllers last month available in Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Sterling Silver. It also finally confirmedthe PS5 will be getting a mid-gen refresh, the slimmer model of the console set to launch this November.
