Starfieldhas been out for almost a week - nearly two for those of you with early access - and while there areplenty of glowing reviews out there, there’s also been enough feedback from those who have played it to render the overall reactions to the game mixed. Certainly mixed enough for those of you withoutGame Passto be on the fence about splashing out for a copy of your own. Maybe all it’ll take to knock you off the fence is a little something extra to quite literally sweeten the deal like some astronaut ice cream.
If a sweet treat is enough to convince you to spend $70 on Starfield then you’ll want to head toBest Buyright now. The retailer has dusted off its Halo Astronaut ice cream deal for one of its deals of the day. Anyone who buys a copy of Starfield onXbox Series Xthrough the link below will also get some free Halo Astronaut ice cream. Best Buy initially included the astronaut ice cream as a pre-order bonus with Starfield. However, it seems it’s feeling generous towards those of you who have been holding out or remain undecided. Or the equally likely scenario that it has a lot of the ice cream left in stock and wants to get rid of it. Either way, it’s free ice cream, so certainly not to be sniffed at.
Starfield
WHERE TO PLAY
Starfield is the first new IP from Bethesda in a quarter of a century, launched for the next-gen Xbox Series X|S and PC. Taking place outside our own Solar System, you play a member of the Constellation, a collective of explorers set on discovering new worlds.
Before you get too excited about a Starfield xHaloevent, even though the latter is right there in the ice cream’s description, it doesn’t appear to be connected to Master Chief and his games in any way. Onto the next question you probably have, how on earth is Best Buy going to send ice cream through the mail without it melting? This is astronaut ice cream. It doesn’t melt because it’s freeze-dried. You know, the same stuff astronauts are taking into space with them.
Beyond that, I can’t tell you what astronaut ice cream is like because I haven’t tried it myself. This particular variety comes in ice cream sandwich form, and although there are a number of flavors available, the one that comes with your copy of Starfield is the Neopolitan sandwich, so three flavors of ice cream all in one bar. Hey, even if it tastes terrible, it was free and you’ve still got a brand-new copy of Starfield to play. Sounds like a no-lose situation to me.
