There are many variables that contribute to your success inEndless Dungeon. From honing your aiming and dodging skills to learning the best places to builds turrets, you’ll develop myriad skills as you throw party after party into the dungeon. One aspect of gameplay you’ll need to be aware of is a character’s chip loadout. Each character has a number of chips they can purchase and equip to make them stronger.

As a character, Zed is focussed on offence. She’s a powerful, mobile character who is one of the better characters to take on solo excursions around the dungeon. Her potential upgrades reflect these skills, and her chip selections emphasise this role beautifully.

Best Chips For Zed

Zed’s ideal build will depend on whether you’re using her as a powerfulforward scoutor as ageneral all-rounder, able to play offensively and defensively. As such, we have provided two separate possible chip builds for this plucky hero.

Nanoblood

3 Cells

Thisincreases Zed’s health by 30%, which will be incredibly useful when playing solo. Zed is likely to draw a lot of attention, be far away from the other characters, and be holding your most powerful weapons. Dying means losing the weapons if you’re able to’t revive her in time, so staving off death as much as possible is the goal here.

Sound Speed

5 Cells

A heftyincrease in speed(which should be further augmented using upgrades from the dungeon) means Zed will be able to zip across the dungeon quickly. This is crucial for a forward scout, who will want to be reactive and efficient in her movements.

To The Rescue!

This gives Zed a greatboost to her attack power and her speed when she’s at least 20m away from her alliesand the Crystal Bot. This is an easy pickup for a solo scout, but will be wasted in situations where you’re forced to stay close to your allies (such as against bosses that take place entirely in one room).

You will need to purchase theChipsmithyupgrade from the Workshop before you may get Sound Speed and To The Rescue!

A Scout Build for Zed in Endless Dungeon

This is a specialist build that firmly puts Zed in a single role and makes her very good at it. With these Chips,Zed will be your go-to when it’s time to explore new areasand dart back and forth between important spots. It makes her great atdirecting the Crystal Bot mid-wave, darting around tosave generatorsthat are being attacked, and bouncing back and forth betweenallies stationed near spawnerswhen needed.

A Forward Scout Zed will pair nicely with moredefensive and supportive allies, such as Bunker, Shroom, and Sweeper. You’ll be relying on these characters to hold the line while Zed is off pushing forwards, especially during an enemy wave.

A general build for Zed in Endless Dungeon

Bad Hombre

This provides Zed with adecent defence boost, which is a nice all-rounder buff that will help significantly in later floors.

This can be swapped forNanobloodin a pinch, but Bad Hombre is better compatible with Doom Metal.

Doom Metal

4 Cells

This gives Zed a bigboost to damage output when she’s low on health. This synergises really well with Bad Hombre, which will make Zed better able to survive hits when low on health and allow her to sustain that damage buff for longer periods of time.

Audio Blaster

This boosts Zed’sneutral weapon damage. As Zed will likely always be a main damage dealer, giving her a very powerful neutral weapon is a good strategy to ensure she’s useful when pointed at any enemy in the game. Audio Blaster only improves that aspect.

You will need to purchase theChipsmithyupgrade from the Workshop before you may get Doom Metal and Audio Blaster.

This build is a simpleall-rounder buildthat looks to build on Zed’s main strength:offence. This build will require that you keep aneutral weaponon Zed to be totally effective, but that’s not a bad idea in the long run, anyway.

Apart from a neutral weapon, give this Zed thestrongest elemental weapon you can find, taking into account which floor you’re on and the enemies you’re facing. Searching for a powerfulLight elemental gunfor the final floors is a good idea, as Fade enemies can be incredibly tricky to deal with.

This is a particularly good build forsolo playwhen you want tocontrol a character other than Zed. It requires very little micromanagement and Zed can largely be left alone to patrol a room without worry.

In terms of upgrades, give Zedimprovements to her attack powerwhenever they crop up. You can afford to be a little more risky with the upgrades that provide attack power in exchange for defence power with this build.
