Always Prepare Your Loadouts

Preparation is key in Atlas Fallen, and you should take as much time as needed in it.

Atlas Fallen’s Gauntlet Menu

Depending on your approach to combat, you’re able to use themto hit your foes more effectively, to be able to endure their attacks or to provide a necessary boost to your healing or stats.

However, these will be situational benefits. Since not all the fights are the same, be mindful of constantly checking your equipment before every major battle.

Upgrade Your Equipment At All Times

Your armor, perks, and gauntlet can be upgraded, and not only they can, butthey should be upgraded as much as possible at all times.Your armor will benefit from those extra stats, and even if you’re using only one favorited armor, you should upgrade them all as often as possible, sincethey will give you one perk point to spend on your Perks menu.

Likewise, your gauntlet will need to be upgraded for you to dash more often, use your powers outside combat, and be able to carry more active stones.Always keep your gauntlet up to date, and you should get a significant edge against the wraiths.

Don’t Be A Chicken, McFly

Yeah, I know they can be very annoying, intimidating, and hit like a truck, butyou must not skip fighting against the Wraiths, even if the game kind of allows it. Sure, you may escape, but not for too long, assome encounters are necessary for the plot to advance, andyou need all the experience you can muster.

Wraiths can be challenging even if you’re playing in the most basic difficulty, but don’t let that deter you from going head-to-head against them.Practice makes the master, and if you want to obtain all the possible Stonesyou will have to defeat every new wraith you encounter.

Parry, Dodge, And Momentum

These three key mechanics are immensely necessary to understandfor you to take the most advantage in combat.Whether it’s more useful to parry or dodge will change depending on the situation you’re in, but you need to familiarize yourself with both if you want to have high adaptability to any combat in the game.

About Momentum, that’sthe blue bar below your HP that will fill the more you hit enemies. Some abilities will require you to deplete that bar, but at the same timekeeping it filled will give you stronger attack moves, so whether to use your momentum or let it gowill depend on your judgment in the middle of the fight.

Be smart at spending yourMomentum, and you should be able to hit the Wraiths as hard as they hit you.

Learn Your Combos

While the combat has the aforementioned three mechanics at its center, your attack moves will also vary depending on the combination of key inputs.Mixing up between light and heavy attacks will be different than just smashing the same key, andthat will change even further if you’re in the air or the ground, or if you have different amounts of Momentum amassed.

Take your time to learn the proper inputs of each one of your gauntlet weapons, and once you have full control of each weapon’s mechanics, you will be able to discern what you should do and don’t, whichwill make combat as a whole more fluid and the major Wraith fights shorter.
