There are plenty of different things to keep you busy while exploring the vastness of space inStarfield. From simply exploring the various star systems to the main quests, adventure (and danger) seems to be around every corner.
While you’re out seeing the many sights the galaxy has to offer, you definitely shouldn’t overlook the various factions the game is host to. From cultists with questionable ideals, to interplanetary militia groups, Starfield has a group for everyone. While no one is stopping you from exploring your options, you may be tempted to know which of these groups has the best quests available to you.

5Constellation
Mandatory But Important
Constellation is the faction in Starfield that hosts your main quests. While it isn’t much of an option if you want to complete the game, you may be curious just how fun the main and radial quests are for this mandatory faction. At first, it is a bit lacklustre, with many of the missions being simple fetch or exploration quests.
After some time, though, these missions allow you to advance in the story enough to unlock new weapons, meet new people, and even unlock an impressiveroster of supernatural powers. Unfortunately, to unlock these powers, you have to explore a series of temples, and solve some rather frustrating puzzles. They aren’t the most fun quests, but they are at least a good gateway to becoming stronger through the rest of the game.

4UC Vanguard
Good For Early Experience
Joining up with the main military organization and police force in the galaxy isactually relatively easyenough. You just have to make your way to the UC Vanguard headquarters in New Atlantis and tell Commander Tuala at the front desk you’re interested in fighting the good fight. There are a handful of quests. They start somewhat boring as you get a tour of their museum and then get to show you may fight in space with their ship simulator.
It’s good background and training though, and you may consider starting this questline early on for the easy experience. It does get more hectic as you rise the ranks, especially when facing the deadly terrormorphs that seem to be popping up all over the galaxy. At the end of this quest, you also become a UC citizen and gain access to apartments in New Atlantis. Being part of the UC may not be the most glorious life, but it does have its perks.

3Ryujin Industries
Important For Socialites And Thieves
Contrary to what the cyberpunk genre may say, working for a megacorp isn’t all that bad, or at least that’s what Ryujin Industries would have you believe. You definitely have to work your way up from the bottom with Ryujin, as your first quest is delivering coffee. From there, you begin to gain their trust.
Corporate espionage is a stealthy game though, so you may want to upgrade your stealth, social, and lockpicking skills to make life a bit easier on you. The end of the quest has you rubbing elbows with the loftiest of the board members, and even gives you a suite in their office building. Not to mention a handy free point in the Manipulation skill, and some pretty edgy clothing too. It’s definitely not your regular nine-to-five desk job.

2Freestar Rangers
Gunfights And Space Cowboys
The Freestar Rangers are the rough-and-tumble interplanetary cowboys of Starfield’s factions, the roster of which includes the often-romanced Sam Coe. If you want to play out your Firefly fantasies, then this is a good faction for you. Quite a few of the quests involve keeping the peace, which is to be expected of a space cowboy.
The intrigue is rather unexpected towards the end, and there’s a fun plot twist with the option of talking your way out of some bloodshed. Plus, this questline has some pretty fun rewards in the form of weapons, outfits, and even a ship. You also have the option of buying a house right next to the Ranger’s base for added ease. It may help to have some points in ballistic weapons and rifles to help ace this questline. You can do far worse than aligning yourself with the Freestar Collective.

1Crimson Fleet
Space Pirates And Important Moral Choices
Sometimes following the law just isn’t the fun option. When that’s the case, there’s no better option to align yourself with the space-pirate adventurers of the Crimson Fleet. This questline actually starts off as you working for SysDef to infiltrate the pirates' command structure and tear it down from the inside, but it’s completely up to you whether or not you’re actually a double agent.
The quests are mix of heists, assassinations, and some pretty impressive space battles, but quite a few of these encounters can be completed non-lethally as well. There are far duller quests out there than these, and the variation of skills needed is quite refreshing. New age swashbuckling or taking down some infamous pirates; the choice is yours. But, you get plenty of money either way.
