The Settled in Starfield is a collection of various planets spread out across multiple solar systems. Each planetoffers various resources, exciting missions,fantastic side quests, and plenty of great weapons.
That said, some planets offer all of these things at a higher quality or better availability than others. These planets are suitable for you to plant a more permanent base of operations to easily access all that is on offer. So, what planets should you be looking tobuild your outpostson?

8Kreet
Kreet can be found in the Narion system as the first moon of the planet Anselon. Kreet is a relatively calm rock with docile wildlife like the Kreet Grazers, who don’t bother you unless you bother them, making it safe for you to visit and roam around.
It is a resource-rich place with abundant valuable resources like water, neon, silver, helium, argon, and alkanes, but most importantly, iron and lead, which are vital components in constructing the most valuable mods, materials, and outpost tools.

7Nesoi
Nesoi is the first planet in the Olympus star system. It has several great resources that can be utilized in many different ways. The planet is also located in close proximity to Alpha Centauri, Cheyenne, and Vollii, allowing you to visit New Atlantis, Neon, and Akila City whenever you like.
The most exciting thing about Nesoi is that the atmosphere is perfectly safe, besides a few gas vents, and you can go outside and explore for as long as you want without needing a spacesuit.

6Tau Ceti II
Tau Ceti II can be found in the Tau Ceti star system, which has a rich supply of fauna-type resources for any scientists who are looking to spend a lot of time researching. The planet has useful plants like the crimson gibbet, which provides structural resources, and the warren nettle if you want to extract toxins.
The planet also has some interesting plant life that can be hostile, but only if you attack first. This planet’s proximity to Alpha Centauri makes it an ideal outpost base if you’re looking to join the UC Vanguard or stay loyal to Constellation, two of the best factions.
5Zamaka
Zamaka can be found in the Alpha Centauri system, where it is the fifth moon of the planet Olivias. Zamaka doesn’t have an ideal living environment and is a harsh, frozen rock with chemical water utterly devoid of life.
However, it is rich with resources and definitely worth your time and effort. This is not the go-to planet for someone looking to build a chill outpost just to relax and explore, but if you’re looking to mine resources, you’ve found a suitable planet.
4Maheo II
Maheo II can be found in the Maheo system. It is a harsh environment with freezing temperatures, and you shouldn’t be looking to stroll on this planet.
However, if you’re ever in need of an abundance of helium, you should definitely build an outpost here. If you travel to the north and south poles of the planet, you will find rich deposits of helium, but these are also the coldest areas on the planet, so you must be careful.
3Linnaeus IV-b
Linnaeus IV-b is the moon of Linnaeus IV in the Linnaeus system. It has a pleasant temperature, so you don’t need to worry about wearing any protective gear or spacesuit.
The planet does not offer much in the way of plant life and is not the planet for you if you want to be surrounded by lush vegetation. However, it does have rich deposits of iron and aluminum, which makes it the best planet to set up your outpost if you want to have some of the most useful resources in Starfield right outside your door.
2Alpha Marae III-d
If you go to the Aloha Marae star system, you will find Alpha Marae III–d revolving around its sister planet, Alpha Marae. The planet is a bit cold and does not support any plant life, but it has a rich vein of valuable resources that you can mine and farm.
The most peculiar thing about Alpha Marae III–d is where it is situated. The Alpha Marae system is located ideally at the center of the exploitable universe, giving it a unique feel in terms of role-playing experience.
1Freya III
The planet Freya III is located in the Freya system, which puts it in proximity to the Cheyenne system so that you canvisit Akila City, one of the most exciting cities in the game. It also gives you an excellent sense of ease of travel if you decide to become a Freestar Ranger.
Aside from where this planet is located, it is also filled with lush vegetation and useful resources that you can mine, farm, and utilize in several ways. The atmosphere is safe for you to traverse without needing a space suit, aside from the occasional threat of radiation.
The planet is also filled with an abundance of alien wildlife, both docile and hostile, making it a lively and active base for your outpost.
