The new passing styles in Madden 24 heavily incorporate accuracy and placing the ball in a good spot for the receiver to catch. While the game still offers the classic style we’ve all grown to love, it might not be the best option to use. We analyze the three different passing styles in Madden 24 and which one is the best.
Placement & Accuracy
There arethree different passing stylesin Madden 24. Besides the Classic style, the other two styles focus on specific attributes and skills to deliver a proper pass.
Placement & Accuracy enable atiming component for guaranteed accuracy on bullet passes and control over the placement of the pass within a target area with precise control over pass strength.

By using this passing style, you’ll utilize theleft analog stickto place the pass in a specific area for the receiver to target the ball. If the receiver is running an out route on the right-hand sidelines, you’d want topush the analog stickto the rightso the quarterback throws the ball close to the sidelines where only the receiver can catch the ball.
Holding the pass button for too long can result in a Poor Accuracythrow. You can also receive Poor Accuracy if you attempt an off-balanced throw or throw on the run with a quarterback who struggles in those areas.

You can achieveGood, Great, and Perfect Accuracybyreleasing the pass button within the timer gaugeabove the receiver’s head. The size of the gauge reflects the quarterback’s accuracy rating, so thehigher the rating is, the bigger the gauge will be.
Placement & Power
Placement & Power is similar to Placement & Accuracy in that itenables control over the placement of a pass within a target area with precise control over pass strength.
However, there isno timer gaugeabove the receiver’s headwith this passing style, which means the accuracy will be based largely on thequarterback’s accuracy rating.

This passing style rewards those who can place the ball in the proper areas with the analog stick, but if you’re using a quarterback with poor accuracy ratings, then it will be difficult to consistently make good passes.
Using Placement & Power should be a prerequisite or a first step before potentially graduating to Placement & Accuracy if you struggle with the timing component.

Classic
The Classic passing styledisables the Skill-Based Passing feature and uses classic Madden passing controls. With this passing style, you won’t have to worry about placing the ball with the analog stick or having to time the release of the pass button.
While the Classic passing style is the most simplified of the three, you’re at the mercy of Madden 24. Depending on the quarterback’s pass ratings, passes can be accurate if you remain steadfast in the pocket, but there’s always a possibility of a random inaccurate pass.

Using the Classic passing style isn’t necessarily the wrong way to play Madden 24, but it’s encouraged to at leasttry the other passing styles for more control over your passes.
Which Pass Style Is Best?
Ultimately, thePlacement & Accuracy passing style is the best one to use in Madden 24. The timing gauge might be a bit difficult to get accustomed to at first, but once you’ve mastered the technique, you’ll be dropping dimes all over the field.
If you’re struggling with the timing gauge, you canslow down passeswith the Passing Slowdown setting. However, this featurecannot be used during online play.
Placement & Poweronly provides a fraction of what Placement & Accuracy does, so you shouldonly use this passing style as a stepping stonetoward the latter one. The Classic style is still fairly solid, all things considered, but you should stray away from this one for a more immersive football experience.
