Copper is an essential early game crafting material inPalia. You’ll need it to upgrade your first set of tools - primarily the axe and pickaxe - as well as crafters and other useful furniture. Copper is found in the starting area of Kilima Village and the surrounding Points Of Interest.

That being said, there are some spots better than others for looking for Copper. This guide covers the best areas to regularly farm for the material, as well as a useful farming route that incorporates other useful materials.
Best Places To Mine For Copper
On the map above, we’ve marked our favorite spot for mining Copper. Justsouth of the Mayor’s EstateandRemembrance Garden, along the coastline, there are multiple Copper nodes dotted along the cliff face. You can run down the beach collecting Copper, Clay, Moss, and more, before heading back towards the village/your plot.
Because of the way the node system works in Palia, it’s a good idea to head out and gather/forage/mine/chop trees all at the same time rather than searching for one specific material. In this case, though, the area we’ve marked on the map is an excellent place to look for Copper.

How To Make Copper Bars
Copper is used to craft the next level of tools - primarily your Pickaxe and Axe.
To do this, you’ll need to craft Copper Bars- these are crafted at the Smelter on your plot. You will need to purchase theCopper Barrecipe from Hodari once you’ve reached at least level two mining.
Once you’ve got the recipe, you’ll be able to refine the copper into bars on your plot.
