Summary
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 Turbochargedbrings a bunch of exciting tracks to race on. These tracks are not only better but also more visually appealing than the ones in the first game, making the whole racing experience even more thrilling. Along with the new tracks, Hot Wheels has doubled the number of cars in this game, giving you a wide range of options to choose from to drive on these amazing tracks.
This list will be ranking the best default racetracks in Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 Turbocharged, but keep in mind that you can also download custom-made tracks online to give you an even greater variety of options.
5Backyard
The Backyard is a fun map to play, but also one of the longest ones in the game. This is a pretty open racetrack that involves occasional jumps and obstacles along it. Backyard also tests your ability to drive in straight lines and through some sharp turns. If you like your Rocket cars, such as the Audi R8 Spyder, then you should go to Backyard, so you can just focus on the raw speed and accelerate along the track without worry.
The visuals of this track are also fun and remind you of a classic old-school backyard whereyou would set up your Hot Wheels tracks. There are some soccer balls and toys you may crash into, which also adds to the nostalgic and playful vibe of the map. Backyard is also a good choice for the Time Attack races due to its open roads and minimal jumps.
4Mini Golf Course
The Mini Golf Course starts off slowly with plenty of straight lines and a few sharp turns but gets really exciting towards its end. As the track reaches the 70 percent mark, it suddenly increases the number of jumps, which makes it easier to catch up if a racer has pulled away at the beginning. The track ends with an interesting off-road section which also works to make the end of the race more exciting.
This track is set on a mini golf course with a Wild West theme, but it doesn’t have many interesting elements about it except some golf balls on the side. As good as it is to play, the Mini Golf Course just feels like it could have been a lot better as it does have an interesting theme but no other elements to capitalize on. Regardless, this track is still a good choice if you want to try out your off-roading cars as they tend to have the most wins on this map.
3Arcade
Arcade is one of the most challenging racetracks in the game and includes a variety of obstacles along the way. This map tends to surprise you with random jumps throughout it, some of which you might not expect. Racing-wise, Arcade tests your drifting skills as it has a lot of corners where you will have to stick to your racing lines to get through well. There aren’t many opportunities to test out your raw speed in Arcade as you always get stopped by some turn or jump on the track.
The visuals of this track are also some of the best in the game. The bright neon lights alongside the colorful racing track really help bring out the stunning look of the map. This map is also a good choice for the Drift Master events due to the number of wide turns it has where you can easily rack up multipliers.
2Gas Station
The Gas Station is an exciting track full of challenging jumps and loops. There is something for everyone on this track, as it has plenty of straight roads along with sharp turns and jumps. You will also be forced to go off-road sometimes and race along the countertops of the Diner as well as the gas station outside. Some jumps will also require you to jump from one platform to another, which can be tough to time well, especially if you are new to the game.
It is the visuals of this track that really shine and give it a completely different vibe from most other maps in the game. Gas Station makes you realize the small size of these cars when paired against everyday objects such as chairs and tables. This track feels incredibly creative and creates one of the most enjoyable driving experiences.
1Dinosaur Museum
Just like Gas Station, the Dinosaur Museum is also one of the most versatile maps in Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 Turbocharged. This track features numerous obstacles, including a heavy rock on a rope that can knock you out of the track, as well as some boxes that you will have to avoid along the way. There is also plenty of potential for drifting and speeding, along with many jumps scattered throughout the course.
A fun, diverse map along with a visually appealing environment makesthis track one of the best in the game. This track lets you drive around the Museum of Natural History and race through the dinosaur exhibits. While you’re able to also read about these dinosaurs if you decide to take a break, it might not be the wisest choice during a race. The sheer excitement of driving around and through these dinosaur exhibits makes this track incredibly thrilling and is a key reason for its top ranking on this list.
