Charlotteis a four-star unit released inGenshin Impact’s 4.2 update. She is a good healer designed to synergize with other Fontaine characters. For instance, she has a talent that makes her healing bonus increase by 5 percent per Fontaine character in her party other than herself.
Thus, Charlotte shines the most in her role as a healer when she is paired with other Fontaine units. However, she can work well with other teams, too, and provide a modest boost in the offensive while she’s at it. Her play style requires some on-field time to make her really work out, so all her team compositions should consider this.

Charlotte’s Overall Best Team: Premium Freeze
Charlotte is assumed to have been released asa dedicated support for Lady Furina, the Hydro Archon, given how welltheir kits synergize with one another.
WhileFurina drains theteam’s HP to boost her DMG, Charlotte can heal them, making themplay off each other. As such, it is no surprise tosee them grouped together. This team is composed of:

This rotation is relatively simple, given that you will not need to do much back-and-forth switching. In practice, it works something like this:
Action
Furina
Trigger Furina’s Elemental Burst and Elemental skillwhile she’s in her Ousia state, summoning the members of the Salon Solitaire todeal DMG and apply hydro to mobs. Note the use of Fruina’s Ousia state Elemental Skill willbegin to drain the entire team’s HP.
Kaedehara Kazuha
Support Furina’s Hydro application by following up with Kazuha’s Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst. This will group the enemies in one place while also further spreading Hydro through the corresponding swirl reaction.
Charlotte
Trigger Charlotte’s Elemental Skill by pressing down until the camera angle captures up to five enemies. This will boost the DoT of her skill and extend its duration, allowing her to serve as the Cryo applicator in this composition.
Herattacks will trigger Frozen on enemies affected by Hydro. To maximize the efficiency of this composition, you willalso need to trigger her Elemental Burst.

Neuvilette
As is usual for the on-fielder,he should be your last unit. He should remain on the field for eight to ten seconds at a time, perhaps even longer, using hischarged attack to deal large amounts of DMG to Frozen enemies.
This team wouldalso accept Wriothesley instead of Neuvilletteas an on-field DPS, thoughNeuvillette’s synergy with Furina is rather hard to outclass.
They are ideal teammates due toNeuvillette’s intrinsic HP mechanics, making him a unit that caneasily help Furina cap her Fanfare pointsand has good survivabilityeven without a healer’s input.
This, of course, reduces the impact of Charlotte’s healing on him, but it also helps to ensure she canfocus on her role as a Cryo applicator. Furthermore, Neuvillette self-heals, butall other teammates will still need a healer.
Charlotte’s Best F2P Team: Melt
When Charlotte is placed in teams that arenot composed of other Fontaine characters in its majority, the buff from her fourth ascension talent grants herCryo DMG bonus instead of a healing bonus.
While she remains a support unit at heart, pairing her with innately strong supports like Bennet and Xiangling can push her toward filling the shoes of a DPSand doing it quite well.
This is especially useful againstenemies with poor Cryo and Pyro resistance.
Strategize well, and Charlotte may yet become the centerpiece of the team. To achieve this, use the following team:
This rotation will need you todistribute on-field time quite well. In practice, it isn’t too obvious who’s meant to shoulder the duty as the main on-field unit. It follows these general principles:
Use her Elemental Skill toapply Cryo to up to five enemies. Don’t forget you will benefit more from holding down the skill until the camera view has expanded as much as possible.
Bennett
Use his Elemental Burst totrigger Melt on enemies affected by Cryo, creating an AoE where your characters will be healed and receive attack buffs.
Xiangling
Trigger her Elemental Skillto summon Guoba, who willdeal Pyro DMG at intervalsand cause enemies tobecome affected by Pyro.
Rosaria
Using her Elemental Skillwill help you totrigger Melt on enemies affected by Pyro.
Use her Elemental Burst tosupport rapid and powerful Melt reactions.
Trigger her Elemental Skill againto re-apply Cryo to enemies. Xiangling’s Pyronado andCharlotte’s Skill’s DoT will proc Melta few times.
Triggering her Elemental Burst can alsoaid in generating reactions. While she’s on the field, complement with Normal and Charged Attacks.
This rotation showsthe essence of how to play this team. You will probably requireseveral rotations and will even need to quickly flip-flop between all unitsin a somewhat disorderly fashion.
Charlotte Bloom Team
Charlotte’s role in Bloom teams islimited to crowd control. This is not her ideal role, though as a Cryo Catalyst wielder, she isuniquely useful for freezing enemies in place.
This composition shouldstill consider a strong grouper like Kazuhato further strengthen crowd control, asBloom Cores have a delay of roughly six secondsbefore they explode and deal Dendro DMG.
Furthermore,Kazuha can move Dendro Cores, grouping them along with mobs.
Another important consideration for a Bloom teamthat uses Charlotte and Kazuha for their respective crowd control abilities is thatneither is a good teammate for Nilouon paper, as her kit has Elemental restrictions.
Keeping all this in mind,Charlotte’s ideal Bloom teamwill be something like this:
This team hasa simple rotation, following similar rules to any Nahida/Yelan Bloom team:
Yelan
Trigger Yelan’s Elemental Burst to activate Exquisite Throwand make the active character prone to triggering Hydro application with normal attacks at one-second intervals.
Support Yelan’s Hydro application by following up with Kazuha’s Elemental Skillor Elemental Burst. This will group the enemies in one place while also further spreading Hydro through the corresponding swirl reaction.
Nahida
Hold down Nahida’s Elemental Skillto capture up to eight enemies, applying andlocking the Seed of Skandha on them. While they are affected by Hydro,Dendro cores will be generated.
It is important to remember that onlyup to five Dendro cores will exist at a time, and attempting to create more will cause them to explode, regardless of the wait time. This canplay in your favor but also against youwithout proper crowd control.
This is where Charlotte comes in. Triggering her Elemental Skill by pressing down until the camera angle captures up tofive enemies will apply a Focused Impression markon them. This will inflict them with Cryo and causeCryo DoT at certain intervals.
Coupled withYelan’s Hydro application, Charlotte can consistentlytrigger Frozen to hold enemies stilland ensure Dendro Coreswill cause the intended DMG when they explode.
You may considerswitching this team from Bloom into Hyperbloom by replacing Kauhza with Kuki Shinobu.
She serves as agoodElectro Reaction Support for Hyperbloom.
Though Hyperbloom teamsdo not have a high need for crowd control, and Shinobu is a healer herself, so thiswould change Charlotte into a less functional teammate.
This iscommon for Hyperbloom/Hyperfridge drivers.
Anotherviable teammate for either of these compositions is Xingqiu, who can easily replace Yelan asthey have kits that are similarin terms of utility.
