One of the few mechanics that developers can toss into a game while making almost everyone happy is some kind of morality system. Even the systems that are a bit of an afterthought can make your favorite games all the more interesting in key moments, regardless of how impactful the choices you’re able to make are.

9Until Dawn
There isn’t really a lot of a single character betraying any other character with their actions inUntil Dawn. You simply get to turn on everyone as the player, making it so that none of the hapless survivors can make it to dawn.
The best part is, you can even pick your moments to allow the characters to meet their gruesome endsduring all those excellent QTEs. If you go into the game blind for the first time, it’s possible that you might lose every single character without even trying, and that’s something special.

It’s easy to forget just how RevolutionaryUndertalewas, purely because you become the biggest bad guy around by playing the game the exact way you would play any other RPG. If you fight enemies, you’re killing innocent monsters, and you can kill everything and everyone you come across.
The route in question where you kill everyone is literally known as the “genocide route” something that is also viewed as the worst ending of the game. Most people who went into the game blind probably saw some version of one of the worst endings and just had to try again.

4Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic
It’s almost funny how comedically evil you can be in the Sith route of the originalKOTORgame. It shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who loves Star Wars, but becoming a Sith pretty much requires you to be the absolute worst.
The thing is, if you choose the Sith route, you pretty much become the kind of supreme bad guy that Palpatine wishes he could be. It may be a bit more dated in nature, but it was games like these that set the standard for these kinds of morality systems in the modern era.

2Fable 3
While it may not be as loved as the other games by some people,Fable 3does give you some interesting choices to make. If you’re feeling like completely turning your back on everyone, you can do so throughout the game, but you can also make Albiion the equivalent of a creepy ghost town if you want to. It’s actually surprising how dark this game can be.

It really is kind of dark just how far you can go to turn against literally everyone inDead Rising 2. There’s no solid storyline choice you’re making to betray a bunch of people bysacrificing them to zombies, instead, it all comes down to how you play.
You can ignore all the survivors in the game if you really want to. Even worse, you can completely ignore your soon-to-be-zombiefied daughter as well.

It makes for a dark way to play the game, but it does allow for more time spent killing zombies in ridiculous ways.
