With every new Season inDiablo 4comes a new opportunity to level up a character and experience new mechanics and forms of Seasonal progression. However, the leveling process can become quite stale, especially if you’re frequently leveling new characters from one to 50.

Thankfully, there are a few methods that make leveling alt characters relatively fast and easy. Whether you’re starting a new character on the Eternal or Seasonal Realms, we’ll go into detail on some of the best methods for leveling new characters below. Keep in mind that most of these methods involve skipping the Campaign, and are only recommended after you’ve already leveled a character through the story once.

6Domhainne Tunnels

One of the best ways to level up a fresh Season character is by grinding theDomhainne Tunnels dungeon. This dungeon, found in the Strand region of Scosglen, has high monster density, making it a great spot for grinding levels.

The main type of enemy in the Domhainne Tunnels is Goatmen, so using Elixers of Demon-Slaying will let you clear the dungeon even faster, and provide a small experience boost. If you’re looking for a relatively fast, repeatable grind to level up your new character, Domhainne Tunnels is one of the best options.

5Tree Of Whispers

Completing objectives for the Tree of Whispers is a great way to passively gain bonus experience and gear while exploring the world or doing side quests. Tree of Whispers objectives change periodically, but there will always be some available in certain regions of Sanctuary.

If you’re solely focusing on earning Grim Favors for the Tree of Whispers, it may be more efficient to farm Domhainne Tunnels or do something else. However, the Tree of Whispers really shines when paired with open-world activities like Helltide, or Season 2’s Blood Harvest event.

Diablo 4 Season Of Blood Necromancer

4Blood Harvest

The Blood Harvest is a unique event that occurs during the current Season of Blood. Every hour, a different area of the map will be affected by the Blood Harvest. During this time, various activities will become available in the area, and they are all great sources of experience.

Killing enemies to complete certain objectives and summoning bosses are the primary methods for leveling during a Blood Harvest, but you can also rescue villagers and open chests using Seeker Keys for some great loot and Hunter’s Acclaim points. Plus, most of these activities will award Grim Favors, which you can then turn in to the Tree of Whispers for even more experience.

Grinding objectives in the Blood Harvest is definitely one of the best ways to level during the Season of Blood, and has the added bonus of not being as repetitive as Domhainne Tunnels or other dungeons. Additionally, you can take part in the Blood Harvest even if you haven’t completed or skipped the Campaign.

3Normal Dungeons

If the repetition of clearing Domhainne Tunnels is getting to you, worry not. There areseveral other dungeonsthat are almost as good in terms of density or experience per hour. While they may not be as good as Domhainne Tunnels, the added variety will make the overall leveling process more fun.

Uldur’s Cave, Blind Burrows, Champion’s Demise, and Iron Hold are all great dungeons for quickly leveling up. If you’re getting bored with Domhainne Tunnels, try adding a few of these dungeons to your rotation.

Clearing other Dungeons for Legendary Aspects that you may need for your build is also a good idea, even if you only clear it once. Again, this will help break up the grind while also providing better equipment for your character.

2Nightmare Dungeons

While Nightmare Dungeons aren’t unlocked until you clear the Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon and enter World Tier 3, they are one of the best ways to level up and gear your new character. Nightmare Dungeons are one of the main endgame activities of Diablo 4 that you’ll be doing until level 100 and beyond.

Just like normal Dungeons, there are several Nightmare Dungeons that provide much higher monster density, making them great spots for grinding experience. These include Sirocco Caverns, Ghoa Ruins, Belfry Zakara, and Flooded Depths.

The most efficient way to level up from Nightmare Dungeons is to attempt Tiers that are at a higher level than your own. The higher tier of Nightmare Dungeon you complete, the more experience you’ll gain, so aiming to clear dungeons above your current level will make leveling even faster.

1Season Journey And Season Blessings

The Season Journey is your main form of guided progression with each new Season. Completing these objectives will guide you through Diablo 4’s many systems and types of content, rewarding you with Season Pass experience as you go.

While the Season Journey doesn’t directly give experience, you’ll gain Smoldering Ashes as you level up the Battle Pass. These items can then be spent to grant Season Blessings, which provide powerful effects for your character throughout the duration of the Season. For leveling, the best option is the Urn of Aggression, which boosts your experience gain from monster kills by up to 20 percent.

Other Season Blessings can also provide useful effects that will make the leveling process smoother, like faster mount sprint recovery and longer Elixer duration. Be sure to utilize these bonuses as you progress through the Season to make the leveling process a bit easier.
