Battlefield 2042’sclass system works differently than past installments. Rather than choose from one of four classes, players select from multiple specialists that fulfill class roles identical to past installments. Camila Blasco serves as a Recon specialist, gaining access to utility gadgets and a powerful jamming device.
Blasco serves as a counter to enemy Recon players, disrupting minimaps and targeting gadgets alike. Prevent your team from getting spotted, highlight enemy gadgets, and sneak into enemy lines with ease. Blasco can do it all, and she’s fairly easy to play. This guide will explain how her gadget works, cover her unique passive, and offer some tips on how to best play this unique Recon specialist.

Passive
Ambush Expert:Cannot trigger motion-based gadgets and disrupts turret targeting.
Blasco is aReconspecialist with an affinity for stealth. HerX6-Infiltration Deviceallows Blasco to create a jamming beacon that covers a fairly wide radius, disrupting enemy radar and preventing affected allies from being spotted.She can then push deep into enemy territory with herAmbush Expertpassive, allowing Blasco to run through T-UGS and Prox Sensors without getting spotting. Enemy turrets will also have a harder time targeting Blasco than any other specialist.
Weapon Proficiencies
Blasco specializes in snipers and secondary weapons. Sniper rifles feature minimal reticle sway, while secondary weapons have faster swap and stow speeds.
While simple, Blasco’s kit is incredibly powerful in the hands of a good player. Preventing your team from getting spotted makes flanking and defending objectives substantially easier. As a Recon, she spawns with anInsertion Beaconand has access to utility gadgets such asT-UGS, Prox Sensors, the Tracer Dart Gun, SOFLAM, C5 Explosives, and Claymores.Her throwable options consist of most utility grenades, notably EMP and Smoke Grenades.
Gadget And Passive
X6-Infiltration Device
The X6-Infiltration Device is a disruption beacon that counters virtually every source of spotting in 2042.Allies within 20 meters of the Infiltration Device cannot be spotted, regardless of what gadget is used. This includes:
That alone makes the Infiltration Device quite powerful, but that’s not all it does. Blasco’s gadget also disrupts enemy radar.Enemies caught inside the Infiltration Device’s radius will have their radar scrambled, unable to view any minimap information.Any deployed gadgets in the radius will also be highlighted for you and your team. Consider planting the device before pushing through a heavily-defended area to gain the upper hand.
Finally, Blasco’s device also counters targeting systems found on vehicles and certain launchers.Vehicles within the X6-Infiltration Device cannot be locked onto.They can still be hit by the Recoilless M5 and other non-guided projectiles, but anything that requires a lock-on will cease to function until the device is destroyed or the target moves.
Blasco’s device isn’t impervious to electronics, however.Casper dronesand other EMP sources can short out Blasco’s jammer, so be wary of where you place it.Should the jammer break, you’ll need to wait 60 seconds before you can deploy it again.The device may be picked up at any time to reset its cooldown. Only one jammer may be deployed at a time.
Ambush Expert
Thankfully Blasco’s passive is much easier to understand.Blasco does not appear on T-UGS, Prox Sensors, or automated sentry turrets.Any motion-based sensors that spot targets will not detect Blasco under any circumstances, making her an excellent specialist for aggressive playstyles. She will also never be targeted by Boris' turrets, although enemy Rangers will still attack Blasco.
