Summary
There areall types of ghostswaiting for you in the dark corners ofPhasmophobia. Creeping around houses filled with lively spirits and hyperactive poltergeists can make anyone’s night feel a little spooky.
Since Phasmophobia’s ghost-hunting adventures began in 2020, there have been a plethora of updates to bring more ghosts, more haunted locations, and more tools to help you with your newest case. For the veterans, though, even the largest update can be a breeze to master. For those who still look for a real challenge, there are plenty of ways to change the game and bring more terror.

9No Hiding Challenge
Hiding in Phasmophobia can be a lifesaver, especially for those new players who aren’t quite confident enough to face a hunting ghost head-on. For the more experienced, hiding becomes a last resort when running away isn’t sustainable or when you’ve collected all the information needed.
Playing on higher difficulties will naturally remove some hiding spots, making it a little harder to run and hide. Participating in a No Hiding Challenge eliminates all hiding spots, forcing you to stay on the move both in and out of hunts. You’ll have to keep on your toes and remember paths around each map before you get trapped in a corner.

8No Evidence Challenge
The No Evidence Challenge is a great way to ramp up the difficulty of any Phasmophobia game. As evidence is the primary way of determining the ghost type, this challenge forces you to consider other ways of piecing together what kind of ghost you’re dealing with.
Even though each ghost leaves specific pieces of evidence, they also behave in unique ways. Some may be more interactive with the environment, others may hunt more often to keep you on your toes, and some may like to sit back and watch you struggle. Whatever ghost is lurking, you can focus on its behavior both in and out of hunts to find out what it is. This challenge can be tricky if a ghost isn’t active, so verify to pay close attention.

7Locked-In Challenge
Being locked in the building usually means you’re the unfortunate target of a hunt. While hunts can be avoided by running away or hiding, nothing beats the safe feeling you get once you step out the front door. The Locked-In Challenge involves entering the building and not leaving until the ghost has been determined.
You can take in all your equipment before fully entering or make it a little harder and only take what you can carry. This challenge is perfect for those who want to have that feeling of danger throughout the entire game. If you want to make it even harder, you can try to complete all the objectives as well.

6No Lights Challenge
The No Lights Challenge can be quite difficult if you’re not familiar with the layouts of the maps. The challenge consists of finding the ghost type in complete darkness, so, no flashlights and no turning on lights throughout the house. The best way to do this is to turn off the breaker when you enter.
Since candles and UV torches are sources of light, you can avoid using them entirely even though they may be needed for collecting evidence. If you’re not a fan of wandering in the complete dark, however, then you can use these to make it a little more flexible.

5Versus Challenge
This Versus Challenge is more enjoyable during multiplayer games. Since Phasmophobia has no PvP elements, the Versus Challenge pits you and your fellow ghost hunters against each other in a race to find the ghost type. Equipment can be used by anyone, and you have to keep discoveries to yourself.
It’s a free-for-all all on what you’re able to use to gain an advantage over everyone else.Using cursed objectsto start a hunt is one harsh but effective way of sabotaging other players. Since this challenge goes against the teamwork Phasmophobia is known for, it can be a fun way to add a few twists to your games.

4No Sanity Challenge
Sanity is an important feature of Phasmophobia. It has a big impact on how the ghost interacts with you, mainly by deciding on when to hunt. The lower your sanity, the more chance a hunt will occur. The No Sanity Challenge simply means you head on into the game with no sanity at all.
Your beginning sanity can be changed while in the lobby, as can many other options if you want to play around and see what they do. Since the ghost is directly affected by sanity, this challenge is a lot of fun for experts who want to add some more danger without altering the settings too much.

3Perfect Game Challenge
The Perfect Game Challenge is a little easier than others in terms of gameplay. So, if you’re looking for a way to make the games more difficult without any setting changes, then this is a nice one to do. It can also be done alongside most other challenges if you feel combining them for an ultimate challenge.
Getting a perfect game consists of finding all pieces of evidence, completing all objectives, and getting all photos at three-star quality. Ideally, the photos will be unique since there are so many to gather during a game. Some photos may include the bone, the cursed object, the ghost itself, or an interaction, but there are still many others that can be taken.

2Speedrun Challenge
The Speedrun Challenge is another challenge that doesn’t involve changing the actual mechanics or gameplay of Phasmophobia, but it does add a bit of competition, especially if you’re playing with friends. You can either set a time limit or just see how fast you can discover the ghost type during this challenge.
This challenge can be changed however you see fit. Whether you just want to discover the ghost type or see how fast you can get a perfect game, there are many ways you can make a speedrun challenge interesting.

1Tilted Scales Challenge
The Tilted Scales Challenge is designed to give the ghost every advantage possible in the game while you sit back and suffer. You can change all these settings in the lobby before the game. When doing so, you’re looking to strengthen the ghost; give it a higher speed, longer hunt times, a lower grace period, and any other settings you want to change.
On the other hand, you’ll be changing the player settings as well to give yourself a slower speed, less sanity, fewer hiding spaces, and any other setting that will make it more difficult to either stay alive or keep track of the ghost.
