Aetherium Wars is the signature event in the 1.4 patch update. To complete it, you will need to get through various challenges.
These challenges are called Victory Zones, and there are four in total. Getting through them will help you collect Aether Spirits, gather level-up materials for your fighters, and even collect some chests. Your story as the very best Aether trainer starts in the Corridor of Fading Echoes on Jarilo-VI.

Once inside, you will have a short chat with March 7th, and thenyou will see Mr. Giovanni waiting for youa few steps from where you stand. Approaching him willtrigger more dialoguein which he will remind you ofthe objectives of the Victory Zone, or the things you need to do toget your Victory Rating up. In short, to succeed you will need to:
Mr. Giovanni will give you a Blaze Out of Space Aether Spiritso you can begin collecting Roaming Data in this zone.

How To Collect Your First Aether Spirits
Aether Spiritsget automatically added to your teamwhen you defeat a new one for the first time.
As this isyour first Victory Zone challenge, you will naturally collect your first Aether Spirits here, and doing so is rather simple. All you need to do isapproach them as you would regular mobs in the Maze(Star Rail’s map). They willdetect your presencejust as regular mobs do, and you canengage them in battle by attacking them.

Aether Spiritswill ambush you just as regular mobsin the Maze would.
You will finda Silvermane Canoneer straight aheadon the path where you just encountered Giovanni. Defeat and recruit him, and you canproceed towards the second Aether Spirit locationby taking the next right turn, and then a left immediately after. You canbattle and recruit an Imaginary Weaverat this location.

Congratulations! You’ve justassembled a full teamand can continue forward!
Talk To Giovanni And Continue The Challenge
Giovanni will give yousome Aether Expansion Chips. You can use these togive your Aether Spirits different buffs. You will be prompted to try them out, and then, the gate behind Giovanni will open, and you will be able tocontinue exploring the Victory Zone.
You will immediatelyrun into an opponent that will want to battle you. His team is composed oftwo Imaginary Weavers and one Silvermane Gunner. Defeat him, and you will obtainAether Spirit Upgrade Data x20, which will be enough toget your Blaze Out of Space from level one to level two.

Continue forth andyou will run into Serval and Pela, which will trigger more dialogue between the both of them, Giovanni, March and the Trailblazer. Luca and Dunn will also show up. This is where you learn thatServal and Pela are championship contenders, and Serval explainsthe first Snowshine Lamp Puzzleto everyone, as she is in charge of the Victory Zone along with Pela.

You will need to solvethree Snowshine Lamp puzzles, without counting Serval’s tutorial puzzle to be able to advance. The first two can be found to theWest and the East of the Maze. There will also betreasure chests in these locations.
How To Solve Snowshine Lamp Puzzles
The principle behind this is fairly simple. You willuse Thermic Cores to light up all the designated Snowshine Lamps, making sure to arrange them so that thelamps' AoE successfully reaches all the lamps that are in the vicinity, and their heat transferring capabilities activate toget the lamps that are out of reach.
Since Snowshine Lamp puzzlesare logic-based, there will beseveral different ways you can solve them. It is possible you will find other ways;we have detailed the easiest solution for eachwhile also accounting for the chests.

Snowshine Lamp Puzzle One
Head North on the corridorand then West on the first opening. You willarrive in a small alleywhere there are a handful of crates. To solve this puzzle you will need tomove the crates until the AoE of the lamp on the cratecan reach the one that is behind the fence.
Step by Step
Visual Aid
Start by pushingall three leftmost crates further left to make way.
OPTIONAL: you may headstraight on to the back and claim the chestbefore you continue.

Head right and pushthe rightmost crateone space back.
You have access to the lamp now, soinsert the core.
As you stand next to the lamp, turn North and push that crateforth by one space.
Then, takeone step forward, turn left and push that crateleft by one space.

Go backright by one space, then head back down Southagain and push that crate back by one space.
The path forward is now clear, so you canpush the lamp by one or two spacesas you wish.
Snowshine Lamp Puzzle Two
Go back to thecenter of the corridor and then take the path East. You will encountera challenger with a team of two Imaginary Weavers and one Silvermane Canoneer. Defeat him and claim theSpirit Upgrade Data x20 to continue. Follow the path, and you will shortly arrive ata dead end in the corridor where the second Snowshine Lamp puzzle is.
Push the crateon your left towards the leftby one space.
You immediatelygain access to the lampand can ignite it.
Turn around andpush the crate on your right towards the rightby two spaces, until it is against the fence.
Return to the lamp andsurround it now so that you are standing on its left. You will push it towards the right by three spots, until it isagainst the crate you previously pushed right. With this, the puzzle is complete! Though, getting the chestrequires that you restart the puzzle.
Push the lastcrate that is on the toptowards the left by one spot.
Pushthe middle crate downby one spot.
Push thecrate with the lamp on it towards the leftby one spot, and you will be free to walk to where the chest is.
Snowshine Lamp Puzzle Three
Upon finishing the second Snowshinelamp Puzzlethe gate the IPC employee was watching will automatically unlock, andyou will be let through. Continueforward though that pathto arrive at the gear-bridge, There will bea lamp on your right that is part of the third and final Snowshine Lamp puzzle. Walk a little further in, activate the Space Anchor, and thenlook towards your right. You will have arrived at the puzzle site.
Step By Step
Begin by walking behind thefirst crate that you see and pushing it upwardto make some room.
Next, turn South andpush that crate down by one space.
Turn left andpush that crate left by two spacesuntil it’s against the fence.
OPTIONAL:Head down and claim the chestbefore continuing.
Head up into the space between the lamp and acrate on the right and push said crate right by one space.
Move up and look East.Push that crate rightby two spaces.
Head around the crates until you arestanding on the opposite side of the lamp, looking towards the right.Push it left by one space, then up by one space, then left until it hits the fence. With this, you’ve finished one part of the last puzzle.
After completing this puzzle you will notice thatit did not automatically reach the target lamp as with the last two; you need to turn the gear-bridge toput the lamp in the target lamp’s range.
Head North into the corridor facing youand take a left. You willrun into another challenger herewith two Incineration Shadewalkers, a Silvermane Gunner and a Silvermane Canoneer in their team. There will also be an Imaginary Weaverjust a few steps further from the challenger, soyou will need to defeat them both to reach the switchthat will let you turn the gear.
Unlock the switch and turn the gear in a clockwise motion two consecutive times. There! You just solved the final puzzle and can continue forth tochallenge the Serval and Pela, the Championship Contenders for this Victory Zone.
Duel Serval And Pela
Walk North, then Eastacross the gear-bridge and you will run into another challenger. Her team consists of two Imaginary Weavers, a Silvermane Gunner, and a Silvermane Canonneer. She’s standingbetween you and a Precious Treasure chest, so you must defeat her and advance.
After crossing that gate that you have just unlocked, you will arrive back to the main corridor; Serval and Pela will be waiting for you there forthe final showdown.
You will have an advantage in this fightas your starter team will be mostly composed of Aberrants, whileServal and Pela’s team is fully composed of Humanoids.
To get through this fight quickly, you shouldkeep in mind these important tips:
Winning this fight concludes the Victory Zone challenge, but there will still be a few things to doafter you’ve obtained the Mastery Mark, like accessing the Blocked Off Area that only becomes accessibleafter you finish the main challenge. The last challenger, and thelast collectible Aether Spirits, which includes the Silvermane Liutenant, are all locked behind this special area.
Furthermore, the quest won’t end until you’ve exited the Victory Zoneand ran into the unsavory IPC workers that caused some trouble for you and March at the beginning of the event.Only after you defeat them againwill you truly be able to call the matter closed.
