Lorcanais the all-newDisneytrading card game that has been quite the hit since it finally officially launched over the summer. That has been both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because, well, it’s pretty great and it’s encouraging to see so many people getting into it. A curse because the limited stock has been predictably bought up by scalpers and is now being sold for inflated prices. Ravensburger already confirmedThe First Chapter will be getting a reprint, but now that good news has become great news.

Initially confirming its First Chapter reprint will be available in early 2024, the Lorcana creators have moved things up due to the incredibly high demand. In a statement toComicBook, Ravensburger has revealed its reprint of Lorcana: The First Chapter will now be here before the end of 2023. Likely a move forced through not only so people don’t keep buying cards from scalpers, but also so the cards are on the shelves of actual retailers in time for the holiday season.

There is a tinge of bad news with this announcement for those of you reading this outside of North America. While the US will be getting its First Chapter reprint before the end of 2023, those of you in Europe who missed out the first time around will still need to wait until early 2024. Hey, at least you know it’s coming, you just have a little longer to resist the urge to pay a higher price. It might seem tempting now, but you know you’ll regret it when you could have waited just a little longer and paid a lot less.

On top of The First Chapter and Rise of the Floodborn,Lorcana has also gotten in on the celebrations for Disney’s 100th anniversary. Revealed earlier this month, the limited edition anniversary set includes six cards, all of which have been designed by Disney animators. Among the characters included in the set are Maleficent, Mickey Mouse, and Maui from Moana.
