After having been leaked at least twice in the past year, El Tigre has finally been officially confirmed as one of the newcomers coming toNickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2.
Before it was officially revealed earlier this Summer, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 was one of the worst-kept secrets in the industry. The firstinitial leak revealed Squidward as one of the new playable characters,while a second one claimed that El Tigre was coming to the game, something that was then suggested to be true by the show’s creator. That second leak was apparently fake (even if the outcome ended up being true), but it was still pretty clear that Manny was on his way, especiallywhen he appeared in the finalised version of the game’s cover art that was shared by Amazon.

After much anticipation from fans, the day is finally here.As reported by Nintendo Life, El Tigre has officially been confirmed as one of the newcomers for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, alongside Squidward, Plankton, and Jimmy Neutron.We got to see a little bit of the character in action in his reveal trailer, which also reveals that his stage will take place inside the Miracle City volcano.
It’s a relatively short trailer in all, but the footage shown makes it clear that Manny is a character that’s mostly focused on speed, using quick claw slashes to rush other fighters. That’s not all he has though, as we can see a surprisingly long-reaching grab, a move that seemingly lets him rush to his opponent for several slashes, and an up special that looks like a modified version of Fox and Falco’s recovery in Smash, only with a downward kick at the end.
The trailer for El Tigre might be a little brief, but Nintendo Life also provided a description of the character that gives us a better idea of how he’s going to play. It reads, “El Tigre is a glass cannon rushdown character with some of the fastest attacks in the game! With excellent mobility, El Tigre can smother opponents with short-range, combo-able attacks or approach from afar by extending his arms! If flashy combos and speed are your style, then harness the power of the Ancient Tiger Spirit with El Tigre in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2”.
Character breakdown videos for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 have been released fairly consistently over the last few weeks, so it’s likely that we’ll get a lot more information on what Manny Rivera brings to the table in the near future. For now, through, El Tigre fans can celebrate the character’s return after so long.
