The Elder Scrolls Onlineis asking its community to pick between two rewards, a music box and a furnishing book. Necrom players can vote in-game by choosing to favour either Tralise (for the music box) or Yensa (for the book). It’s not an individual choice, but somethingallplayers vote towards, meaning you might not get the item you want. While this seems harmless at first glance, it has sent the community into an all-out war.
In one camp, you have the book lovers. They’re demanding people vote for this newHermaeus Mora-themedfurnishing item that oozes Necrom, with green runes fluttering out of the pages. In the other camp, we have the music box lovers, itching to see what this Keepers' treasure will reveal. But there have been alotof music boxes in ESO, so people are understandably hungering for something fresh.

“We have a ton of music boxes,Miriampearlsaid. “There will always be more music boxes. As much as I love them. This book is one of my top want furniture items from Necrom. Please vote for the cool book.”
“EVERYONE BETTER VOTE FOR THE DAMN BOOK!“GwenTheBardput it, less politely.
It’s unclear what’ll happen to the item that loses the vote. Some speculate it’ll end up being a paid commodity in the Crown Store, meaning that the vote is simply dictating which is handed out as a freebie to Necrom owners.
It’s also possible it’ll never be added to the game, but trust me, you don’t wanna get on the wrong end of the music box fandom. On the other hand, you don’t wanna draw the ire ofthe housing community. Good luck, Zenimax.
Of course, not all fans are arming themselves for the battle over in-game trinkets, some are scheming to break the system. “I wonder what will happen if we get 50/50 on the choice,” TESbenefactor said.
“Be right back, checking out an Elder Scroll to see if this has been foretold,” the official ESO Twitter account replied.
One look at Twitter and you’ll see plenty of ESO players arguing over the two possible outcomes - it’s a bloodbath out there.
We’ll have to wait and see who wins, but it might be a good idea to log off when the announcement hits and hide in Kenarthi’s Roost, somewhere cosy and quiet.
