Building a character takes a lot of work, butBaldur’s Gate 3makes it easy. You can design your character and select a background, which provides your character with a brief history and several goals to complete for Inspiration. These goals are completed as you interact with the world around you and make critical choices.
As an Entertainer, you’re likely to enjoy the grandeur of adventure and the splendor of storytelling. With this background, you have the opportunity to craft an epic legend from your own tale, all by interacting with the various characters and creatures you find in the Sword Coast.
What Is An Entertainer?
As an Entertainer, you live for the audience’s amazement, regardless of whether they’re common folk or nobility. You seek tobring joy and amusement to crowdsall around you, brightening the moods of everyone you cross paths with.
You gainproficiency in Acrobatics and Performance, true to your craft, which will help you pass the related Ability Checks. As you complete Background Goals, you’ll earn Inspiration.
Inspiration can be used toreroll failed Ability Checksfor a second (or third) chance to succeed. Passing these checks canreveal new information, avoid combat, or grant unique rewards.
You can hold up to four Inspiration at any time. Additional Inspiration earned will be converted into experience, so make sure to use Inspiration regularly.
How To Gain Entertainer Inspiration
The best way you can gain Inspiration as an Entertainer is tofollow your Background Goals. These are only revealed once you’ve completed them, but they are often uncovered byperforming actions related to your Background.
Not all Inspiration can be unlocked in a single playthroughsince some are locked behind choices, but there areplenty of optionsfor you to explore.

The best ways to use Inspiration are toavoid combat, earn rewards, and unlock unique optionsin-game. The best ways tomaximize your Inspirationis to use it often to make sure it doesn’t get converted into experience.
There are only 12 levels in Baldur’s Gate 3, and only so many ways to earn Inspiration. you may always gain experience, butInspiration can be scarceif you do a lot of exploring (or if your rolls aren’t very good).
To verify you collect Inspiration frequently, it’s best todiversify the partyand make decisions that align with your Background.
