Baldur’s Gate 3is truly a massive game, filled with large areas to explore, myriad characters to meet, and tons of quests to complete. Along the way, you’ll likely pick up a few achievements, whether for progressing the main storyline or lucking out in a tough fight that you’ve accidentally finished in the most efficient way possible.

The game has over 50 achievements in total, and some of them are on the tough side, requiring specific choices to be made throughout the entire game. Others, on the other hand, require certain companion interactions or even the woeful Dark Urge origin to trigger.

Description
Descent From Avernus
Rewarded for completing the tutorial, which consists of the sequence aboard the nautiloid.
The Plot Thickens
Rewarded for completing Act 1 and then traveling to a new area.
Rewarded for completing Act 2 and entering Act 3.
Roleplayer
Complete ten background goals in a single playthrough.
These are the actions you take thatreward you with Inspiration points.
Bedrolls and Breakfast
Consume a parasite and unlock its power.
Dig For Victory
Dig up five buried chests. You’ll need tofind a shovel for this.
No Penny Required
Successfully useDetect Thoughtsin-game.
You can do this naturally, thanks to your tadpole, in certain conversations, but can also use the spell to unlock more chances to use it.
Escapologist
Break out of prison after being arrested.
Each different prison in the game hasslightly different methods for escape.
Hire a hireling from Withers.
Jack-of-all-Trades
Multiclass into every class in one playthrough without reclassing a single time.
This means your avatar must gain exactly one level in every class in the game.
Homebrewer
Create three unique alchemical solutions in a single playthrough.
As long as you’re diligent with picking up ingredients as you explore the areas in-game, you should have plenty of opportunities to create various potions and such.
You Have Two Hands for a Reason
Pet Scratch and the owlbear cub at the same time.
This is triggered by a special cutscene that plays when you have both animals staying with you at camp.
Rude, Crude, and Full of Attitude
Find and summon the quasit Shovel.
You can find theScroll of Summon Quasit(which will summon the relevant quasit) in theNecromancer’s Basement in the Blighted Village.
Forged in Blood and Fire
You’ll findthe Adamantine Forge in the Underdarkduring Act 1.
Under Lock and Key
Rescue all the prisoners from the depths of Moonrise Towers in one playthrough.
She Cannot Be Caged
Rescue Sazza from theEmerald Cove, the Goblin Camp, and then Moonrise Towers - all in one playthrough.
Taking Blood
Find and take the Blood of Lathanderfrom its resting place underneath Rosymorn Monastery.
Leave No One Behind
Save every single tiefling refugee possible in a single playthrough. This will include saving them at Emerald Grove, Moonrise Towers, and the Last Light Inn.
Murder in Baldur’s Gate
Complete theInvestigate the Murders questin Act 3 by killing everyone on the kill list.
Mind Blown
Romance The Emperor.
As long as you are receptive to The Emperor’s plan andfind his hideout in Baldur’s Gate, a scene will eventually play while taking a Long Rest in which you can easily romance him.
Action Surge
Perform 5 attacks in a single turn.
One method is to have a fighter with the great weapon master feat and a source ofHaste. Add the war cleric’s level one ability to spend a channel divinity charge to make an extra attack, and it’s easy pickings.
Kill an enemy character with an unarmed strike.
Devil’s in the Details
Kill Commander Zhalkon the nautiloid at the start of the game.
Pest Control
Kill the Phase Spider Matriarchbefore any of her eggs hatch.
The best approach to this achievement will be to stealthily destroy as many of the eggs before triggering the fight against the Phase Spider Matriarch, and making sure you target them first during the fight itself.
Kill the Adamantine Golemwithout using the Forge Hammer on it.
Non-Invasive Procedure
Kill Malus Thormwithout him using any of his surgery skills on you.
It takes two turns for Malus Thorm to use his surgery skills - one turn of setup, and then one turn using the skill. attempt to disable Malus after the setup to waste as much of his time as possible.Grease,Ice Storm, and the monk’s Stunning Fist work wonders.
No Free Lunches
Kill the Apostle of Myrkulbefore it can consume any necromites.
You can either try to burst the boss down as soon as possible or make sure you’re destroying the necromites as soon as possible. Either strategy can work.
Fancy Footwork
Kill Gortash in Wyrm’s Rock without activating any of his traps.
First Blood
Kill Orin the Redwhile her cultists are performing their ritual chant.
Interfectorem Draconis
Defeat the red dragon close to the end of the game.
Crash Landing
During the fight against the red dragon, wait until it is mid-flight and knock it out of the sky.
Bottoms Up
Take a Long Rest using only alcoholic drinks as your camp supplies.
Shove Off
Kill an enemy with the Shove action by knocking it off a cliff or into a chasm.
Bookworm
Read 100 different books in a single playthrough. You’ll have to actually read them, not collect them.
Punch Drunk
Defeat 20 enemies while a party member is drunk in a single playthrough.
Fetch Quest
Play fetch with Scratch.
At some point after recruiting Scratch to your camp, there will be a cutscene in which you may get a ball from Scratch’s mouth. Throw this ball for Scratch to fetch.
To Bloom in Darkest Night
Gift Shadowheart a night orchid.
You can do this once she’s told you that her favorite flower is a night orchid and you’ve found one in the world.
Embrace Your Urge
Unlock the Slayer form as the Dark Urge.
To do this, you’ll need tocomplete a certain quest in Act 2 by indulging in murder.
Complete the game in Tactician mode.
Ending Achievements
The following achievements and their requirements are a bit too spoiler-y to include in the table above. We’ve given them a section of their own to prevent unsuspecting players from spoiling themselves of possible endings.
Absolute Power Corrupts
End the game by taking control of the Netherbrain and bending the world to your will.
Hero of the Forgotten Realms
End the game by killing the Netherbrain and destroying the illithid tadpoles.
Sins of the Father
End the game by taking control of the Netherbrain in the name of Bhaal.
Ceremorphosis
End the game by becoming a mind flayer in order to defeat the Netherbrain.
