This career can be quite taxing, but will turn your Sim into the embodiment of discipline and fitness. If you are thinking about joining this career, we’ve got you covered.

In this guide, we are going to go over everything you need to know about the Military career path in The Sims 4. This will include topics such as how to get started, what the two branches are, and what the rewards are for earning promotions.
The Military Career can only be joined if you have theStrangerVille DLC.This DLC brings a strange new town, along with the physically demanding Military career.

How To Join The Military Career
To join the Military career, you can use either your Sim’s cellphone or the computer. From both of these locations, you can head to the career tab and choose the option to find a job.
If you don’t already have a job, you may also just head over to the career panel of your Sim’s profile. Rather than showing a job, it will display a button that takes you to the career-choosing panel shown above.

From here, you will see the option to join the Military as a Raw Recruit. This job pays §26/hour every Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 2 PM.
What You Need To Get Started
The Military careerdoesn’t require any special equipment to start;all you need is your body and some space to exercise in!
If you want, you canvisit a gym, as well as purchase exercise equipment for your house.These aren’t necessary, asrunning around counts as exercise, which will increase your fitness skill.

Like other careers, the Military will later split into two branches. We will cover these in more detail later, but if you want to get a jump start on your career, you canincrease your Logic or Charisma skills too.
All Career Levels & How To Get Promoted
There areten levelsto the Military Career. The first five levels are standard, but after this, you will need to choose a branch to go into.
These two branches areCovert Operator and Officer.Covert Operator is essentially a Military spy, giving some Men In Black vibes. If you choose this branch, you will need to alsolevel up your Logic skill.The Officer branch is similar to a typical Military job. Rather than focusing on logic, you will need tofocus on increasing your Charisma.

Daily Tasks
Each career level has daily tasks; for the Military career, these are randomized. The task will usually pertain to the skills needed for the job. For example, in the first few levels, you will often betasked with working out, sparring, or marching around.
As the name implies, you will need to do these tasks daily. If you miss a day or two,don’t worry!This won’t be detrimental to your career, andyou can still get a promotion as long as you meet the promotion requirements.
Within the Covert Operations branch, your daily task will have to do withLogic and covertness.This involves activities such as monitoring Sims, playing Chess, or filing reports. The daily tasks for the Officer branch involveCharisma. Such tasks include giving orders, sharing war stories, and recruiting others.
How To Get A Promotion
To get a promotion, you simply need togo to work, complete promotion tasks, and do your daily tasks.While at work, you can also tweak your behavior. From your Sim’s icon in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen, you canclick on the little arrow and choose the way your Sims works.
If you want to get ahead in your career, you canchoose to work hard.Certain moods will add new options; for example,confident Sims can schmooze with their boss.While this boosts work performance, it also has a chance to cause embarrassment, soschmooze carefully!
Military Career Rewards & Bonuses
Each time you get promoted, you will earn a bonus, as well as some extra rewards. Below, you can check outevery bonus and potential reward for each level of the Military career.
