You’d thinkAhsokacoming toFortnitewould be the biggest news of the new update, right? The Jedi has been a fan favouriteStar Warscharacter for years, finally getting her live-action show too. So it was a little odd when her Fortnite reveal was pretty nonchalant, not even appearing in the cinematic that was released for chapter four, season four’s launch.

In the cinematic, we see all of the other new skins in action, including the famousTikTokkerKhaby Lame. However, Ahsoka is awkwardly shoved in at the end, not even properly appearing in the character lineup. Instead, she’s pushed off way to the side, not fitting in with the scene at all. This has led some fans to assume that she was a last-minute addition to the season, perhaps even rushed out to line up with the Ahsoka show’s premiere onDisney Plus.

The launch trailer was dropped earlier today, coinciding with all of the new skins being added to Fortnite with the season four release. Check it out below to see what to expect from Fortnite over the next few months.

Ahsoka won’t actually be available to unlock until September 26, so Star Wars fans are still in for a bit of a wait if they want to enjoy her Fortnite debut. But given her lack of prominence in the season four trailer, some fans think we’re lucky to be getting her at all.

Even putting that aside, some feel that she’s been awkwardly slapped onto the image showing all the new skins this season, arguing that her render is lower quality than the rest. Hopefully, it will look better in-game, without any noticeable quality dip from the rest of the season four line-up.

It wouldn’t be super surprising if it turns out Ahsoka wasn’t initially planned for season four. While it perfectly lines up with her show, Disney isn’t likely to be an easy partner to negotiate crossovers with. Aside from owning basically everything, Disney going to be very particular about how characters are depicted in games like this when it’s also actively selling its own products based on them. It’s a smart move from everyone in any case, as it has a bunch of Star Wars fans excited to unlock her.
