Like other VS-likes, Holocure has plenty of items with which you may customize your Oshi to your heart’s content. However, with so many items available, some are naturally going to be more powerful than others even if you have certain builds in mind. If you want the best accessories to take into center stage, here are the best Holocure items, ranked.

Super Items, which only show up as rare drops from Holozon boxes, are not counted on this list.

The Kusogaki Shackles in the Armory

10Kusogaki Shackles

Acquired by: Surviving a run for 10 minutes as Murasaki Shion

The Kusogaki Shackles on their own do nothing, but with some luck, they enable you to put together the most bonkers overpowered build in the game. They do this by mitigating the negative effects on other items, fully negating them if you max out the Shackles.

Want the straight up attack buffs of Gorilla’s Paw in your crit build? How about a huge power boost from Injection Type Asacoco without the constant damage? Want the offensive and defensive boost of a Membership, but you don’t want to pay? With the Kusogaki Shackles, all this and more are possible.

9Full Meal

Acquired by: Default

Sometimes, small and simple effects belie a lot of power. The Full Meal meal doubles all healing effects. While it’s not too flashy, it can often make the difference between victory and a loss.

After all, you can’t make your super omega unkillable build if you’re dead, and paired with healing items or even the odd cheeseburger pickup, you’re a lot harder to kill with this add-on. Also, this ability is pretty compact and comes to you at full power, without the need for upgrades. Just keep in mind that while the healing boost affects items, skills, and weapons, it does not affect the healing you get from the Regeneration upgrade from the shop.

8Ninja Headband

Acquired by: Surviving a run for 10 minutes as Kureiji Ollie

This item gives you a substantial boost to your speed, allowing you to more efficiently kite the legions of fans headed your way. But, this item truly shines in the swordmasters, hammer-wielders, and other masters of melee fighting, since it gives a damage boost to all melee weapons.

Ranged Idols can also make use of this item, but the the attack boost would only apply to the few General Weapons that are tagged as a melee skill. However, it’s still a decent option for the movement speed if you don’t want to give up your Max HP for the Energy Drink.

7Membership

Acquired by: Beating a stage with Super Chatto Time! Equipped

The Membership gives you the strongest combination of offense and defense in one item, but if you want it, it’ll cost you. Literally, since this item drains three HoloCoins every second and is only active while you have HoloCoins.

This item only affects HoloCoins you’ve picked up during a run, so you don’t need to worry about your saved-up coins. If you don’t mind a smaller haul after your run or can mitigate the effects of Membership (like with Super Chatto Time!, Greed Stamp, or Kusogaki Shackles), this item is actually pretty strong.

6Study Glasses

Acquired by: Getting to Level 50 in one run

Since leveling up is where a majority of your power comes from, it makes sense to want to level up as quickly and often as possible, which this item allows you to do. The Study Glasses give you a bonus to EXP gain, and as a nice little kicker, every time you level up, you get a boost to weapon damage.

This item is best gotten early, since not only do you benefit more from quick leveling early on, but the boost to your weapon damage only applies to level-ups after you’ve acquired this item and previous level-ups are not counted.

5Idol Costume

Acquired by: Using a Special Attack

The Special Attack is more often than not the most powerful move in any character’s arsenal, with some moves allowing you to clear the screen, deal massive amounts of damage, or even allowing you to cheat death. Which is why these moves aren’t always on tap, usually having to charge up between uses.

The Idol Costume reduces the time to charge up these super moves, allowing you to use Special Attacks more often. But, more than that, they combat the behavior of needlessly holding your Special Attack back for “the right moment,” since if you’re able to use it more often, you won’t need to hoard it as much.

4Piki Piki Piman

More health means you’re less likely to die in a run, simple as that, and the more health you can hold, the more damage you can take. Piki Piki Piman gives you more max health, which is a pretty good benefit, but even better, it also gives you a nice boost of attack power.

In addition to the max health gain, you get increased damage for your main weapon and special attack, one percent for every four HP you have when this item is fully upgraded. This item is especially effective on characters with high base HP, but really, Piki Piki Piman goes well with any character. Especially if you pair it with the Just Bandage.

3Focus Shades

Acquired by: Surviving a run for 10 minutes as Vestia Zeta

The Focus Shades are a powerful offensive tool that not only increases the chance of projectile or multi-shot attacks to critical hit, but also on a critical hit, you also deal 500% of that weapon’s damage over five seconds.

Though the Focus Shades work best with the gunslingers and other ranged fighters of Hololive, melee fighters can also benefit a lot from this item. This is because some melee fighters have ranged skills, and also because the majority of General Weapons are ranged, multi-shot, or both.

2Chicken’s Feather

Acquired by: Surviving a run for 10 minutes as Takanashi Kiara

The most powerful get-out-of-jail-free card in Holocure, the Chicken’s Feather not only gives you a revive per level of it you buy (max three), it also eliminates all on-screen enemies when you die and use a revive.

There are very few effects in the game that allow you to get back from such a bad spot, save for Ollie’s Undead ability, and even then, it has some significant drawbacks.

1Plushie

Acquired by: Surviving a run for 10 minutes as Hakos Baelz

Though the Plushie might not seem like much, it might actually be the most powerful defensive Item in your arsenal. The item delays any damage you take, initially only hitting you for 30% of any instance of damage and delaying the rest, down to 10% at max level. Incoming delayed damage is shown as purple on your health.

While it doesn’t heal damage or even prevent it for very long, the Plushie still buys you enough time to try and heal back your lost health. As long as you can get heals, from your abilities, items, or pickups, you can eventually shrug off even lethal damage. It won’t save you from getting mobbed if you’re truly outclassed, but with the Plushie, you can get out of even seemingly hopeless situations.
