How Many Bags Of Loot Were Stolen By Payday 3 Players On Day One?
According to the stats, Payday 3 players escaped with3,860,692bags of loot on the first day of Play Early. Not having large bundles of cash on hand to see for myself how much money can be crammed into a single bag, I deferred tothe first YouTube video that came upwhen I searched the question - the presenter claims that a medium-sized duffel bag can hold$1,350,000in cash.
That figure, multiplied by the number of bags stolen, puts the maximum total take of the heisters atover five trillion dollars.However, as we see in-game, the Payday Gang useslarger bagsthan those in the video.
Comparing some different brands, I surmised that a “medium-sized duffel bag” has a volume of55 to 70 liters.A bag closer to the size of those that the heisters use would be around twice that, theoretically allowing twice as much cash to be stuffed into one. If every bag stolen was of the maximum size and brimming with bills, the total amount stolen by Payday 3 players on Day One would be around10.5 trillion dollars,just under half the annual GDP of the United States andnearly four times the total value of Apple.
