You should never play with explosives. Unless you find yourself in the Underdark surrounded by no-good duergar harboring deep gnomes as slaves. Then you probably should. Smokepowder is a strong type of explosive inBaldur’s Gate 3,and you can find plenty of it in Grymforge.
Philomeen is a deep gnome you may have found somewhere in Grymforge harboring a huge barrel of smokepowder. you’re able to steal it from her or convince her to give you a small vial. What if we told you that isn’t the only way to get your hands on a good amount of smokepowder?
How To Unlock The Reserve Waypoint
If you get on good terms with Philomeenin Grymforge without stealing her entire smokepowder barrel, she may lead you to further stache of the product. Philomeen is located in a hidden area.
To find her, you musthead left instead of going up the stairsat the Grymforge waypoint. There will be two duergar bullying a deep gnome up some steps. You will want to continue left, past those steps, until you reach a bunch of corpses.
There will be duergar disposing of the gnome bodies on the ground. By dialogue choices, you canconvince the duergar to leavethe area while you clean up. If not, you may have tosneak into the large doorsin this area.
The large doorswill lead to Philomeen’s location. Upon entering the locked area, you have topass a Perception check to find a buttonon the left side of the wall.
As you progress through the wall,stay crouchedfor this section so as to not trigger fights with ooze enemies. Go up the stairs and up the path until you must Jump across an area and reach large, locked doors.
you may climb around the doors and enter this room to meet Philomeen.
Where Is The Smokepowder Reserve?
At the main boat entrance to which you arrive at Grymforge, near the Grymforge waypoint,you should walk to the left of the stairs instead of going up them.Past the docked boat you will find two duergar bothering a gnome slave up some steps.
These steps lead to an entrance point into the Shadow-Cursed Lands.
The location of the smokepowder reserve is in a room just below and to the left of the two duergar and the gnome. You can highlight the metal door to see it. Inside will seem to lead to a dead end.
You can pass a Perception check to locate a button on the wall that opens a wall, revealing the stache.
You may alsotransform into a small animal using Wild Shapeand interact with the rubble in the back corner of the hall.
This room containstwoSmokepowder Satchelin the corner of the room. There is also a locked chest that contains a glass goblet,Arrow of Salving,Arrow of Roaring Thunder, coins, and camp supplies.
