Where Can You Add Workbenches To Ships
With aShip Services Tech, you’re able to upgrade and modify your ship at every spaceport or station, as Technicians can easily be spotted by their distinct uniforms. Due to the confined rooms of space stations, technicians are found much easier here.
However, it can be hard to find them occasionally if you’ve landed at a spaceport with a large landing pad.
You can modify your ship as soon as you get to New Atlantis Spaceport during the One Small Step mission, the first mission in the game.
How To Add Workbenches To Ships
Toadd a workbench to your ship,you will need to select the"I’d like to view and modify my ships”dialogue option with a Technician. When booted into the view ship menu,select the Ship Builder menu.
This will allow you toselect each module of your shipand, more importantly, in this case,add a Habitat featuring a workbench. You will have two options:add a new Hab moduleby selecting the“Add” buttonorattach a Hab module to an existing module on the ship.
Once you’ve cycled to the Hab category, you will be presented with various habitats and variants that can be added to your ship.
Mostly, the manufacturer doesn’t make a huge difference other than aesthetics.
What Are The Ship Habitat Variants
To add the right type of workbench, you will need to cycle through each of the variants and pay attention to each Hab variant’s name:

This adds aCooking Station and Galley.
