Depending on how you obtain your horse, via creation, purchasing, or rescuing, they can come as a foal, an adult, or an elder. If you are looking to take advantage of everything this content pack has to offer, one of the earliest questions you might have is how to age up your brand-new horse.

Method One: The Waiting Game

The most natural way to age horses is to wait for their aging to progress on their own. The youngest horse,a foal, will take eight daysin-world to age up to their adult phase, whilean adult will not age for an additional 50 days.

Method Two: The Quicker Way

If you are looking to take advantage of having an adult horse as soon as possible, there is a quicker way to skip through phases. By going toBits & Bales Mercantile in Chestnut Ridge, you canpurchase an Age-Up Treatto feed to your horse. Click on the store, choose Shop for Groceries and Goods, and purchase the horse-exclusive Age-Up Treat for 150 Simoleons.

Once you purchase the age-up treat, click on the horse you wish to age, selectMore Choices, Horse Care, and Feed Age-Up Treat. Feeding one of these treats to a foal will age them up to an adult, while feeding one to an adult will age them up to an elder. Fortunately…you cannot feed an age-up treat to an elder horse.

Why Should You Age Horses?

As a foal, the only skill your hooved friend will be able to build is their temperament skill. While this has its benefits, such asgaining theWell-Mannered Foaltrait, you will not be able to ride your horse or build up its agility, jumping, and endurance skills. You also will not be able to enter competitions.

As an adult horse, you will be able to do everything the pack has to offer from skill building to competitions.
