While the first few battles ofDisgaea 7: Vows of the Virtuelessare largely on the very easy side to get you to learn the game’s mechanics, it certainly isn’t a game afraid of teaching you a lesson the hard way. This is very clear when you come to the final battle of Episode 2: Battle Against Shogun Stupid.

This battle serves as your tutorial to the game’s Jumbification mechanic, and it spares nothing in making sure you learn your lesson quickly and assuredly. Thankfully, there’s a rather easy way to deal with Yeyasu and his antics in just two quick rounds.

Battle Preparations

There are a few things to know about this battle:

The strategy, then, is quite simple: spend the first turnsending out some fodder units. They will get smacked down, filling your Jumbification gauge up enough to activate the mechanic.

On the second turn, send out akiller unit(likely Fuji), Jumbify him, and then use asingle Gigaster Attack to defeat Yeyasu. If you may’t kill him in one hit, there’s a chance his retaliation could destroy your Jumbified unit.

To verify you can kill Yeyasu in one hit, you’ll need a character with a high attack - this will be yourkiller unit. We used Fuji at level 11 withequipment that increased his attack, including two Energy Belts. Around250 ATKappears to be the threshold for reliably getting one-hit kills in this fight.

If you don’t have the means to boost your attack this high, be aware thatYeyasu’s Jumbility in this fight will boost his defense statfor every ally he has. Sending out extra units on the second turn to quicklydefeat any enemies you have in rangebefore your Jumbified Gigaster Attack may help you clinch the victory.

If you have theEvil-Gachaunlocked and have been using it, the equipment you obtain from that will be incredibly useful.

How To Beat Giant Yeyasu

Once the battle has started, the actions you must take are relatively simple.

Yeyasu will hit all three units, likely destroying them.

On turn two:

If you have prepped your killer unit well, this should be a one-hit kill and end the fight. Congratulations, and welcome to Episode Three!
