It’s been quite a few months since the release ofHonkai: Star Rail, and most of the original players have reached the endgame content like the Memory of Chaos or Swarm Disaster. The former game mode is known for resetting every two weeks with a brand-new lineup of enemies and floor buffs.

You can find the Memory of Chaos in the Forgotten Halls area of the Astral Express. Once you have the mode unlocked, you can also see your current progress and reset time for the game mode in your Interastral Peace Guide.

How To Unlock Memory Of Chaos

When you first enter the Forgotten Halls, you’llonly be able to see the blue-colored levels known as the Memory Levels. This is the one-time reward section of Forgotten Halls where you’re able to slowly get past certain floors and get a certain number of stars to get loads of Jades and EXP materials for characters, Light Cones, and Relics.

There are 15 floors in the Memory Levels of Jarilo-VI, but you’re able to only unlock a certain level once you get past the previous one. to unlock Memory of Chaos, you’ll have to get past all 15 levels in theJarilo-VI Memory. However, you don’t have to get three stars on all of them.

Guide To Each Floor In Memory Of Chaos

As soon as you unlock the purple-colored floors of Memory of Chaos, you’ll notice that it has ten floors. These floorsreset whenever the server clock strikes Monday every second week. Some of these resets only change the Memory Turbulence while the others change the enemy lineup completely.

The Memory Turbulence is essentially the floor buff of Memory of Chaos, except it stays the same across all ten floors.

Hoyoverse uses this game mode to promote the current limited five-star character, soyou’ll usually find them heavily favor that character.

The current Memory Turbulence gives your character a stack of Memory Imprint whenever they act twice in a row. This stack gives them 40 percent extra DMG andalso has a chance to apply Dissociation on the enemy when attacked. The enemy with Dissociation becomes Frozen, which skips one of their turns and they alsotake 15 percent of their Max HP as damage on that turn.

Other than that, here’s a breakdown of each floor in Memory of Chaos:

In the first five floors, you’ll see two boss enemies on each floor, which means that you’re able to divide your Techniques into two battles. However, from the sixth floor onward, you’ll only be able to use your Technique on the first wave of the boss. There are a few exceptions to this like Jingliu’s or Welt’s Techniques since they apply to all the waves.

Of course, youdon’t need to worry about the best DPS characters based on the enemy’s Weaknessif you have Silver Wolf.

Memory Of Chaos Rewards

Being the only mode in Forgotten Halls that reset weekly, the rewards you’ll get for beating a certain floor or getting a certain number of stars in Memory of Chaos arenot even nearly as good as the other Memory levels. You can only get 60 Jades for every three stars you get unlike the 200 on Memory levels.

Moreover, beating a certain floor only gives you a few EXP materials of each type. Overall, you can get about 600 Jades if you complete Memory of Chaos every two weeks. This is a substantial amount, but not enough to warrant spending multiple hours in it if you’re having a hard time.
