During your first visit to the Pale Forest inImmortals Of Aveum, you’ll be confronted by one of the game’s first bosses. The Green Magnus is a fast-moving target with plenty of troops at his command; this makes him very different from the Rasharnian soldiers that you’ve faced thus far!

The fight with the Green Magnus is a great way to learn how to use (and counter) the flexible, unpredictable power of Green Magic. Be sure to remember all the tricks that you learn during this battle; not only will you face more Green Magni during your journey, but you’ll be able to use similar tactics against other dodgy foes.
How To Beat The Green Magnus In The Pale Forest
The Green Magnus appearsshortly after you gain control of the Construct in the Pale Forest.He attacks with a large squad of Nightblade Swordsmen and Archers, and he cangrant them Regenerationwith his magic. Luckily, the Construct will fight on your side, drawing plenty of fire!
The Magnus and his ranged troops will be firing at you from all angles.Keep an eye on your Shield’s remaining energyand Blink to safety before it breaks.
Since you’ll need to break the Green Magnus' Regeneration enchantments to have any chance of defeating him and his troops,keep your Green Sigil equippedfor most of the battle. Focus on one target at a time to prevent Regeneration from undoing your hard work.
Blastwave and Torrent are both great ways to clear the Nightblades; the latter can also remove Regeneration, since it’s Green Magic.
Once the Green Magnus is alone,get to the center platformto have an easier time tracking him as he teleports around the map. Keep your Shield up to soak up his shots andfire relentlessly with Green Strikes.
When the Green Magnus' Regeneration is broken, wait for him to teleport near you thenblast him with Immolate.If the beam stays focused on him, it should easily empty most - if not all - of his remaining health bar.

Rewards For Beating The Green Magnus
Defeating the Green Magnus earns theLucian Stormshards, a Green Sigil that is best used in short, controlled bursts. Be sure to scour the area forGold and Essencedropped by the Nightblades and to open all the chests strewn about beforeanimating the giant tree rootto reach the upper level and move on.
You’ll face other Green Magni, usually commanding large groups of Green Nightblades, throughout the game. Use the same strategy to beat them; it will only get easier as you unlock more powers!
