Lies of Pis no stranger to long dungeon crawls and linear pathing, but Krat Central Station is the beginning of areas that beget a certain kind of complexity. With hidden side areas aplenty and a whole second section you might not have seen coming, you’ll find yourself spending far more time here than you did the first go-around.

Krat Central Station, beyond its length, is also not exactly how you remember it. The pathing has completely changed, and you’ll find your route blocked by barricades of suitcases and decaying, corrupted enemies that add a special twist to familiar foes.

P picks up Legion Magazine and faces Diva Puppet in exit from barren swamp in Lies of P

Several dummy puppets will be lying on the ground along your way. Dispatch them all and head for theladder at the end.

Under the ladder, there is aLegion Magazineguarded by a diva puppet. This strong enemy is nothing unlike what you faced at the Estella Opera House.

After dispatching it,leave the roomand grab theDim Ergo Fragmenton the way.

Go through the green doors and pauseto let a Carcass destroy a puppet ahead. After it’s defeated, follow the pathand climb the ladder at the end.

This area is now ridden with several Carcasses. You can defeat the bloodsucker carcass on the platform, pick up the letter, andgo through the train doors on the right.

P stands near Stargazer and looks at train times board at Krat Central Station

In the next room, you’ll find yourfirst Stargazer for the area.

Now take a water and snack break. You won’t be moving from your chair for a while.

How To Open The Central Station Shortcuts

From the Stargazer,go through into the next roomwhere you’ll see a bloodsucker carcass. Above it aretwo hanging bags of decayfilled with exploding carcasses.

Defeat the one on the ground and bait each of the bags to drop before dispatching their contents.

P looks down at station overcome with Decay mist and carcasses in Lies of P

From here, there is anoptional side areawhere you can receive a few treasures. To do that,go left and jump onto the roof of the train to the right.

As you walk down the roof, acarcass will crawl on from the right side.

Lies of P P throws a pipe at distance decay carcass on central station platform

From this position, you can strike the decay carcasses on the sides with ranged items like Sharp Pipes or Saw Blades.

Drop into the area, taking out any of the pustules that fill the area with Decay mist to clear the area.

P dashes toward chest containing Quartz in Krat Central Station

Then, you canfocus on the new enemypatrolling the area: amist carcass.

Mist carcassesspray mists of Decayin one of two attacks: in a ranged line forward or a horizontal spray in melee. These clouds lingerfor a few seconds and deal building damage.

To defeat this new enemy, you’ll have towait for the right openings and avoid standing in the mistsas much as possible.Fire will be a huge assetin defeating this type of enemy.

After it’s gone, you canopen the chestat the end to receive an illustriousQuartz.

With all your treasures in hand, you canreturn to the Stargazervia the nearby ladder to reset the area andpick up where we left offbefore you went on the little detour.

This means going ahead toward another bloodsucker and aline of crates at the end.

Break these cratesto reveal a thin beam bridge. Ignore this for now anddrop into the hole, attacking the bloodsucker carcass below as you fall.

Continue onto the nearby platform. Your goal is adoor on the farthest point of the right side.

Be careful, though. A bloodsucker carcass will lunge forward from the door.

Go leftto see a carcass sitting on the ground at the end.

Slowly step into this cart. There are two carcasses on either side that will rush toward you. Bait them back out of the cart and defeat them both before progressing.

As you near the carcass at the end, thedoor on the end of the train will slide opento reveal a new type of enemy:a vine carcass.

This creaturesummons vine-like tentacles of Decayfrom the ground. It’s thankfully very squishy, sorush forward to dispatch itbefore taking care of the other carcass in the room.

Grab theShot Putin the corner beforeexiting the trainthrough the door the vine carcass emerged from.

You’ll step onto a new platform where another new enemy,a corrupted puppet, can be found. This enemy moves like normal puppets with the added danger of having aranged, tentacle whip attack.

There arethree of themin the immediate area.

Look around to spy anarea clouded overwith a mist of Decay. There are no enemies inside - only aSpecial Purification Ampouleand aRadiant Ergo Fragment.

Take all the items andgo up the metal stairson the other end of the platform.

Up here, you’ve finally found yourfirst shortcut- leading you to the metal beam from earlier.Open it, and turn around.

On the other end of this area are more filled decay bags, aRadiant Ergo Fragment, and a mist carcass.

Once the mist carcass is gone, you candescend the far ladder.

Directly to your right at the bottom is an area withtwo bloodsucker carcasses in a trapand a small pool of Decay.

Grab theDim Ergo Fragmentfrom down here.

The next platform is covered in a mist of Decay.

You can find abloodsucker carcassand then a combo oftwo Decay carcasses hiding behind each of the crate barricades on the right.

ARadiant Ergo Chunkcan be found at the end and aSpecial Purification Ampoulebehind a barricade on the right side, tucked into a crevice against the train.

The next platform has ascorpion beast carcass. This chimera-like creature is more like a light miniboss for this area.

Rather than fight it, however, we’llignore it firsttosprint across the platform to the ladderat the end. Climbing it, ourfirst official shortcut back to the Stargazeris now open.

With this shortcut open, you canrest upbefore fighting the scorpion beast.

This creature is armoredin almost every locationexcept the middle of its sides and its head. It generallyonly uses three attacks:

Wait for it to complete an attack chainbefore attacking one of its weak spots. As ever, use Fire liberally.

It drops theMurderer Puppet’s Amulet.

The Murderer Puppet’s Amulet increases the damage dealt to human-type enemies.

At the end of the station, you’re able to pick up aSpecial Resistance Ampouleandenter the train to the right.

Two more decay carcasses are inside.

Once past them, you’ll discoverthe place where you beganyour adventure.

While this may seem like all there is to see, there’s actuallya secret to be foundwithin this room. As with in any true souls game, you’ll have to roll your way to victory.

Roll through the wall behind the chairwhere you first woke up.

Inside, you’ll discover a place where you canupgrade your weapons and Legion Armslike you would with Eugenie and Venigni.

A “Letter from Someone Who Has Gone Ahead” can be found on the table to the right.

In the safeat the very end, you’ll receive aLADA Break Cartridgefor your troubles.

How To Reach The Krat Central Station Lobby

Return to the Stargazer briefly and then, through the shortcut you’ve opened,go down the metal staircase.

you’re able to find aDim Ergo Fragmentandcarcass in the trainthat speaks.Speak with the carcassto discover that this is Atkinson; he’s apparently suffering from a very, very bad skin condition.

No matter what you choose to do, you’lladvance Belle’s questline.

Exit the trainandgo past the stairsnow. Ignore the door andgo straightahead near apair of broken doors.

Through these doors, there’san ambushwhere several corrupted puppets - mostly corrupted puppet torsos - will attack you. This is best dealt with by using Flamberge’s wave attack.

After defeating them all, there is achest at the endcontaining theMaster Chef’s Knife(Technique B).

There is one final corrupted torso puppet guarding the chest.

In thedoor leading from this area(the one we ignored on the way to the knife), you’ll find a new area with a hole in the ceiling.

Abloodsucker carcass will fall through itwhen you get near to try and take theResplendent Ergo Fragment.

Go up the stairs to the rightto defeat three more bloodsuckers and take theVivid Ergo Fragmentat the end.

Drop through the hole andgo through the broken door ahead.

In the next room, you’ll be fighting a boss:the Robber Weasel.

Unlike so many humanoid bosses up to this point, the Robber Weasel isnot so easily backstabbed:

This boss can be very hard for Motivity builds depending on the weight of your weapon. You may wish to switch to a faster weapon. Otherwise, you’ll need to make good use of your guards and strategize how you’ll pull off your strong attacks; she is typically too fast to get a Critical Hit in with heavy weapons without smart (and lucky) timing.

Eventually, the weasel will be put down. You’llgain her mask and outfitas a reward for her defeat.

The next areas should be familiar to you.

Retrace the stepsyou took at the beginning of the game. There are several corrupted puppets along the way, so take them out.

Take care of the rooms in this area. Each one is guarded by an enemy inside - one room containing aResplendent Ergo Fragment.

Near the end of your path up on the walkways, there will be onegolden Dimensional Butterflythat drops aStabilized Alchemical Booster.

Eventually, you’ll reach theKrat Central Station Lobbywhere you’re able to repair your second Stargazer.

On the way to the lobby, there is one final sideroom that leads to the bathrooms. There is an enemy in the stalls guarding aDark moon Moonstone of the Covenant.

How To Reach Hotel Krat In Corrupted Krat

From the lobby, before you leave, you canenter through a door to the left of the stairs leading out.

Through this door, you’ll find aset of green doorsat the end of a set of downward stairs. It is marked with a triangle.

This roomrequiresa Trinity Keyto open and contains aWorkshop Master’s Workwear outfitand theCarrier’s Amulet +1inside the safe.

Leave this room andexit the station’s lobbyinto the plaza.

You’ll notice immediately that we’re not in Krat anymore (at least not the way we remember it). Theplaza is now infested with carcasses.

One such carcass, a bloodsucker, can be immediatelyfound behind the crates ahead on the right.

There is aLegion Magazineon the left of the path.

Ahead, there is anew enemy: a helmed carcass. This creature is very agile and has more stagger resistance than you may think.

It does deal significant damage, but it’s a melee-only creature with clear telegraphed attacks.Play aggressive, but smart, and it won’t be an issue.

To your right, there is agiant carcasspatrolling the area, and anAcid Canisterto the right, beside a felled carriage. Behind the canister is also acorrupted puppet and dog carcass.

Defeat all of these, and you’ll be free to also collect theDim Ergo ChunkandRadiant Ergo Fragmentin this area.

There are a few more corrupted puppets and carcasses in the area, but the most notable enemy is astrong corrupted puppet on the far northwest side of the plaza.

It’shiding behind a broken carriageand wielding a weapon. With its defeat, you can open the chest nearby for a Coil Mjolnir.

You’ll want tomake good use of your Perfect Guardshere and not stay too far away due to its ranged grab-and-pull attack.

Pick up the nearbyThermiteand head for thestairs across the plaza.

As you leave, there is anotherunexpected enemy on the north sideof this area:twodisruption dogs.

These creatures are thankfully not too aggressive, but you won’t want them to stick around long.Defeat them quicklyto avoid their spamming of Disruption-clouds.

Up the stairs on the northeast side of the plazaand through the gate, follow the path and take out the carcasses along the way until you reach an area with a strong carcass miniboss beating on a door.

This carcass cangrow a shield or a bladeon its hand. You’ll have to defeat it to pass.

The best way to defeat it, however, is not to take it on in honorable combat. No, no, no, dear friends.

Bait it up the rampanddash over onto the ledge to the left.Standing here, you canuse ranged attackslike Flamberge or dash in an out with melee attacks.

It cannot strike you backhere as long as you stay away from the edge of the ledge. Additionally, it will not chase you around the corner to reach you.

Kill itfrom here, and you’ll be given aLegion Plugand the ability to nowenter the door to the nearby house.

Inside the home is your next Stargazer and the second area half of this march to a familiar boss.

There is aHalf Moonstonedown the path near the lamppost. It is guarded by one carcass.
