In the CAS menu at the start of a new game, you will be able tochoose the mermaid option.While in CAS, you can also then edit their mermaid appearance.
How To Transform Into A Mermaid With Mermadic Kelp
Another way to become a mermaid is toeat Mermadic Kelp.This is the main way to become a mermaid if you didn’t make one in CAS.
Mermadic Kelp is an Island Living material that can be obtained in a variety of ways, which you’re able to find in the table below.
This will cost 500 Satisfaction Points.
Make Friends With A Dolphin
By telling a dolphin to “Fetch”, there is a small chance that they will return with Mermadic Kelp.
Fishing In Sulani
There is a small chance that you may fish up Mermadic Kelp.
Digging In Sand On Sulani
There is a small chance that you can dig up Mermadic Kelp.
Explore The Cave In Mua Pel’am
There is a small chance that you will find 10 Mermadic Kelp while exploring this cave.
Overall, the easiest way to get Mermadic Kelp is by simplypurchasing it from the Reward Store.500 Satisfaction Points is not very much, especially if you complete the wants and goals of your Sim.
Once you have the Mermadic Kelp, all you need to do is have a Sim eat it. Once eaten, you will have aStrange Sensations moodlet.Rather than just waiting, you will need tohave the Sim enter water and swim around.This will complete the transformation, and your Sim will become a mermaid.
If you don’t enter the water while the Strange Sensations moodlet is present,you will lose your chance to become a mermaid.Thankfully, you are able to just eat Mermadic Kelp again.
How To Have A Mermaid Baby
The last way to become a mermaid without cheats is to give birth to a mermaid baby. With one mermaid parent,your Sim baby will have a 50 percent chance of being a mermaid.
With two mermaid parents,these chances will increase to 100 percent.Your newborn baby won’t be a mermaid just yet though, but when they grow up, they will be.
How To Become A Mermaid With Cheats
There aretwo cheatsthat you can use in order to become a mermaid.
Before using any cheat, you will need to pressCtrl + Shift + C (PC), Command + Shift + C (Mac), or all four shoulder buttons (console).Once you’ve done this, enter"testingcheats true"into the command bar. This will allow you to use cheats.
The first cheat willgive you the option to buy Mermadic Kelp from Build/Buy mode. This won’t directly turn your Sim into a mermaid; they will still need to eat the kelp. By entering the following cheat into the game, you willunlock hidden objects,including Mermadic Kelp.
Lastly, you can use the following cheat to turn your selected Sim directly into a mermaid.
You can also use"traits.remove_trait trait_OccultMermaid"to remove the mermaid trait. This will immediately transform your Sim into a normal person, ridding them of the Hydration need.
