Each level you increase a skill offers additional perks that make leveling the skill further, collecting resources, or physically working on skills that much easier. It’ll take you a while to master every skill in Fae Farm, with such a wide variety, but this guide will help you out.

Fae Farm Skills And Perks, Explained

Throughout your time in Azoria, you’ll be working onten total skillsas you go about your daily tasks.

The majority of your skills are easy enough to work on as you go about life in Fae Farm, covering things likefarmingyour crops,miningin the game’s assorted dungeons,catching crittersas you run through Azoria, and more.

There are20 total levels for each skill, and for each level you increase past the first, you’ll receive askill perkfor leveling up.

Naturally,each level requires a higher number of XP to level up, meaning you’ll have your work cut out for you later in the game.

Each skill primarily hastwo perks, and they tend to alternate between levels. One will be associated with theodd skill numbers, while the other will primarily occur witheven skill numbers.

The exception to this is thefinal level, Level 20,in each skill. Here, you’ll receiveplus-one to both perksassociated with the skill, to help prove your mastery.

Mining

Though you’ll need to get through quite a lot of introduction to unlock your first real dungeon, you’ll begin Mining as youbreak rocks around your farmto clear it out on arrival.

From here, you’ll partner up withCleoto begin diving into thedungeonsin Fae Farm, beginning withSaltwater Minesright in Azoria.

Here, you’ll findmultiple different kinds of rocks and gemstones, all of which you canbreak to earn Mining XP. You’ll walk away with all sorts ofores, gems, rocks, and morebased on the kinds of rocks you’re breaking.

You’ll come up against progressively tougher rocks the further you play into the game, so be sure to keep abreast of your pickax upgrades.

Farming

One of the most central tenets of thisfarmingsim is naturally the Farming skill, which you’ll build byplanting crops at the Homesteadandtending to themthroughout the season.

You’ll earn XP the entire way through the growing process:planting, watering, fertilizing, and harvesting cropsall lend to the Farming skill in Fae Farm.

There’s a rotating schedule of crops that grow in Azoria, so keep up with the seasonal produce and enjoy the grind!

Foraging

As you go through Azoria and its neighboring regions, you’ll find plenty ofseasonal plantslittering the ground.

For the most part, these can all bepicked or harvested right from the ground, and you’ll be rewarded with Foraging XP for each item you pick up.

The items you can foragechange with the season, so be sure to stock up before the end of each season!

The majority of yourprepared ingredientshave multiple items that produce them throughout the year, so just keep track of your foraged items so you never run out of something.

Animal Care

Sure, the livestock in Fae Farm might not be the typical spread of cows and chickens, but you’ll earn XP inAnimal Care foreverything related to caring for your animals.

Interactingwith them topet or brushthem,feedingthem by popping grass or fodder into their trough, andharvesting animal productslend to the Animal Care skill.

There are several different livestock options throughout the course of Fae Farm’s story, so be sure to diversify your Homestead for reliable ways to harvest all animal products.

Potion Brewing

Though you won’t really get to begin working on this skill until at leastChapter Fourwhen you begin to venture toother realms, you’ll findPotion Brewing to be critical in later chapters.

In the earliest days of the game, you rely onVerainEast Townfor potions, butBalarandiin theFae Realmwill teach you about making them yourself.

Potion Brewing will save you plenty of time and Florins as you begin dungeon-crawling more intensely in later chapters of the game.

Logging

You’ll begin your adventure in Logging as soon as you beginclearing your farm and the surrounding areas of Azoria of their trees.

There areseveral types of woodavailable from cutting down trees, with each region in Fae Farm having its own types of wood.

You’ll need to be mindful tokeep upgrading your axeto contend with tougher wood - early-game tools quite literally won’t cut it with the sturdier trees.

you’re able to use wood for building, orprocess it into Lumberfor additional projects and uses.

Fishing

Iconic in farming sim games,Fishing is pretty simplein Fae Farm.

You cansee the fish in the water, which helps direct your line a bit more precisely when you cast off. You’ll also occasionally seerare, glowing fishthat sell for high prices in the market!

Critter Catching

As you wander through Azoria, you’ll notice a selection ofbugs and crittersloitering out and about in the world.

When this happens, grab your trustyCritter Catching netand get to swinging -Crittersserve all kinds of purposes, fromsellingfor high prices to using forpotion ingredients.

You’ll even occasionally seerare Crittersfluttering about, denoted bysparkles and a rainbow shine. These areharder to catchthan normal Critters, but theypay betterwhen you sell them, and evenproduce rare resources.

Strike a balance between selling and using Critters for resources, and be sure to talk toMelto upgrade your net as needed!​​​​

Cooking

One of the primary ways toearn moneyon the marketplace orrecover Energythroughout the day, there are dozens ofFood and Drinkoptions.

There areseveral cooking stationsin Fae Farm, so be sure you’re filling your house with each kind to have access to every recipe in Fae Farm. You’ll earn XP formaking dishes or ingredientswith your cookware.

Food often also grantsadditional effects, likeprotection from rain or heat, to name a few.

Whether consumed or sold, you’ll be doing alotof meal prep in Fae Farm, offering plenty of opportunities to increase your Cooking skill.​​​​​

Magic

Last but not least, yourMagic is tied to your combat prowessas you go through dungeons.

You’ll receiveyour Stafffrom Alaric during the earliest days of the game, and you’ll use it as aweaponfrom there on out.

As you go throughdungeonsin the game, you’ll find yourself up againstseveral different kinds of enemies. When youengage enemies in combat and win, you’ll get not only their loot, but XP as well.
