With climates unique to each world, a dynamic weather system that changes throughout the day, and temperature impacts of all kinds on your Sims themselves, you may want to control the weather before long.

Thankfully, between a weather machine, cheats, and settings, you don’t have to be a victim of the random nature of the weather! In this guide, we’ll show you how to change the season in The Sims 4: Seasons.
How To Change The Season With The Weather Machine
In a game about playing with life, play with the weather as well, withDr. June’s Weather Control Device.
Available for1,500 simoleonsfromthe Build/Buy catalog, the weather machine allows Sims to change the current world’s weather, bending it to their will.

Offering quite a spectrum of choices if you’re feeling brave enough to try it, Dr. June’s Weather Control Device haseight settingsfor your Sim to flip between as they choose.

How To Change The Weather Via Cheats
For those less patient (or less willing to risk electrocution trying to mess with nature), there are also severalcheat codesthat allow you tofreely set the weather.
Regardless of which world you’re in or what the current weather is there, open the cheat command center, enable cheats, and enter one of the following codes tochange the current weather or the entire season.

seasons.set_season <0>
seasons.set_season <1>
seasons.set_season <2>
seasons.set_season <3>
seasons.advance_season
Advances the game to the following season.
There are also a number of cheats that change the current weather situation, but these change the entire season and not just the current weather status.
How To Turn Off Seasons
Finally, maybe you’ve had enough of the game’s temperamental temperatures. Maybe you’ve moved into Oasis Springs andcan’t handle the desert heat. Maybe you’ve ended up in Mt. Komorebi and are ready to start an outdoor garden without the snow.
If you’d like toturn off weather completely, you may opt to do so from the game’s settings. To do so, head to theEnvironment tab in the game’s settings, which opens a menu of Seasons-related options.
Here, you candisable weatherand keep static sunshine likein the base game. Alternatively, you canchange the intensity of the weather, as well ashow often the season changes.
You can even opt to simply turn offweather effects on Simsif it’s just the effects of the weather and not the weather itself bogging your Sim down.
