Starfield’sAccidents Happen is the sixth Ryujin Industries mission, and it’s a sly one! Imogene has set her sights on HopeTech, the starship manufacturer, as this competitor is getting a bit too big for their boots. As Imogene says, most corporations live and die by public perception.

She wants you to enter the HopeTech manufacturing warehouse and install an ARC (Assist, Reprogram, Corrupt) Device on a service panel of a ship, and the Ryujin techies will do the rest. Like previous Ryujin missions, you cannot get caught while placing the ARC Device. Otherwise, your pay will be cut.
Travel To HopeTown
HopeTown is found onPolvo in theValosystem;you should be able to fast travel there since you visitedHopeTown during the Access Is Key Ryujin mission. Once you land at HopeTown, you’ll need toenter the HopeTech headquarters, found in front of the landing pad.
The HopeTech guards will be hostile if you have completedThe Hammer FallsFreestar Collective faction quest. You’ll still be able to complete the Accidents Happen quest, but you may get a deduction of 250 credits if you kill any guards.
Enter The HopeTech Warehouse
After you’veentered HopeTech, you will need to stay on the first floorand walk to theback of the reception area to reach the warehouse. The warehouse is a huge room filled with HopeTech mechanics, robots, and security guards.
However,this area is not restricted,so you can walk around without angering the guards. Next, you mustboard the hauler starship at the back of the warehouseand climb the ladders to access the cockpit.
Plant The ARC Device In The Starship
Outside the cockpit room, you’ll see a service panelwhere you canplant the ARC Device.However, anearby HopeTech Security Guard tightly patrols the cockpit,walking back and forth from the cockpitinto the Service Panel room. This will give you just enough time to sneak and place the ARC Device without getting caught.
You can find rare crafting materials and anEpic Old Earth Pistol in the cockpit.You can easily steal these items by waiting for the guard to leave the room.
Return To Imogene At Ryujin Tower
Once you’ve planted the ARC Device, you canreturn to Imogene at Ryujin Towerandcollect your reward of 2500 credits. Imogene will state thatMasako, the Ryujin Industries CEO,will enjoy watching the TV tonight, although you never learn the severity of the “accident.”
