Not everyone gets along inDisney Dreamlight Valley, and some villainous characters make life harder for the classic heroes. Mother Gothel is no exception, except this time she’s upset the wrong Beast with her cruel words, and it’s up to you to help smooth things over.

Unlike many quests in the game, this one allows you to make a choice that dictates the direction of the quest. You can help the Beast become the man that Belle deserves, or you can embrace his beastly nature and seek revenge. The choice is yours to make as Beast navigates his way through the village.
How To Unlock The Crown Or The Claw Friendship Quest
Before you may beginthe quest, you’ll need to have done the following:
Once these conditions are met,speak to Beast. He’s in an especially foul mood due toMother Gothel insulting Belle. You’ll need to play mediator andfollow Beast to confront Mother Gothel.
After a heated conversation, you’llcheck in with Beast. He’s enraged and can’t be reasoned with, sogive him some spaceand getMother Gothel’s sideof the story.
Letting Beast cool off for a while can take a couple of hours, so be patient with him.
Once Beast has cooled off,ask how he’s doing. He’s better, but he might havebroken some furniture.
How To Repair Beast’s Furniture
Head into Beast’s Castleand pick up thefive pieces of broken furniture. You’ll need to take it to thenearest Crafting Stationto fix it. You’ll also need the following materials torepair the furniture:
Gather the materials and put them all together tofix the Regal Plush CouchandRegal Low Table. Meet Beastinside his castleandgive him the repaired furniture.
After the broken furnishings are restored,Beast will need you to decidesomething for him: should heteach Mother Gothel a lessonor move on from this andbe the bigger person? Yourchoice will affect the next steps.
How To Craft The Mirror Of True Seeing
Once you make your choice,talk to Merlin. He will teach you how tomake the Mirror of True Seeing. To craft it, you’ll need:
Depending on your previous decision, you’ll either put themirror outside the Great Willow(if you chose vengeance)or Beast’s Castle(if you chose mercy). Talk toeither Mother Gothel or Beast, respectively, to wrap up the quest.
