InLords Of The Fallen, there are several NPCs who seek your assistance, often providing very little guidance. It’s the lampbearer’s responsibility to figure out how to advance in their quests and see them through to completion. This holds true for Byron as well.
Byron can be encountered in multiple locations before he requests your help in recovering a pendant linked to his lover. To find the pendant and successfully complete his quest, you’ll need to follow a series of steps. This guide will walk you through his quest from start to finish.
Pilgrim’s Perch Location
Your initial encounter with Byron occurs atPilgrim’s Perch.
Once you arrive at this location for the first time, continue moving forward until you reachPilgrim’s Perch Ballroom/Vestige of Blind Agatha. You’ll findByron standing near the Vestige.
Interact with him and exhaust his dialogue options to prompt him to move to the next location.
Forsaken Fen Location
The second encounter with Byron is atForsaken Fen.
Upon reaching Forsaken Fen anddefeating the Congregator of Flesh, continue forward until you arrive atForsaken Fen/Vestige of Valade. As in the previous location, you’ll findByron standing near the Vestige.

Sunless Skein Location
To encounter Byron for the third time, you’ll need to advance further in the game until you reachSunless Skein.
From the first Vestige in this area, continue your journey until you reachSunless Skein Hoist/Vestige of Catrin. As previously, you’ll findByron standing near the Vestige in this location.
After interacting with him, he will request your assistance inlocating a pendantthat he lost from his lover.
Defeat The Skinstealer Boss
The first step involves defeating the Skinstealer to access the area where the Pendant is.
From the Vestige,backtrack to the ladderyou used to access the Vestige, and next to it, you’ll finda leverthat you may interact with to lower the water level. After using the lever,descend the ladderand make your way up and to the left where you’ll encountera bridge.
Cross the bridge andfollow the path to the rightuntil you reach an area with a locked door, butthere’s a path on the rightthat you can follow. Shortly after, you’ll come acrossa gate that you can bypass using your Umbral Lamp.
Continue along the path, and keep progressing until you find apath leading downward.
Here, you’ll come across a ladder in front of you and a path to the left;take the path to the left side. Climb up the ladder, continue along the path, and thendrop through the floor.
Afterward,go to the right, and you’ll seea lever to your left. Be sure to interact with it to open the previously locked door you encountered. From here,drop down and exit the room to the right, which leads to an open area.
There will besome stairs to your rightthat you can climb,leading to the Skinstealer. Defeat this boss, and it will drop theDrainage Control Key.
Do not use the elevator in front of you, as doing so will disrupt Byron’s quest.
Where To Find The Pendant
With the Drainage Control Key in your possession, you’re able to now access Revelation Depths. Once youreach Revelation Depths, continue along the straightforward path by descending ladders and crossing the bridge until you find yourself insidea cave.
Inside the cave,drop down and exit through the entrance in front of you, then follow the path to the left until you comeacross an elevator.
Use the elevator to unlock a shortcut back to the Vestige where you met Byron.
From the elevator, proceed forward and descend until youreach a ladder. Drop down from the ladder andcross the wooden bridge. Continue down until you reachan entrance inside the cave to your right and a bridge that you may interact with on later your left.
Follow the path to the rightwithin the cave, and you’ll eventually arrive ata wooden bridge leading to the other side. You’ll recognize the correct path when youspot an Umbral Flowerbed.
Continue along the path from the Umbral Flowerbed, and you will reach the outside of the cave,where you can interact with the previous bridge to unlock a shortcut.
To the left of the bridge, there is a path. Enter it and soonlook to your left to find a wooden barricade.Dodge through itand follow this path to its end, where you will discover an NPC sitting next to an Umbral Flowerbed namedWinterberry.
Interact with her, and once you have access to her shop,you will find the pendant that Byron requested. However, she refuses to sell it.
At this point, you have located the pendant, andyour task is to inform Byron.
Completing Byron Quest
Return to Byron’s location at Sunless Skein Hoist/Vestige of Catrin andinteract with him. He will acknowledge that the pendant is with Winterberry and that he sees through it.
After this, you need toreach Upper Calrathand interact with the Vestige there. This action will causeByron and Winterberry to move to Skyrest.
To access the area where they are located, you first need toobtain the Skyrest Bridge Key.
With the key in hand,return to the Vestige at Skyrestand make your way to thelocked door on the opposite side of the Vestige. Use the Skyrest Bridge Key on the door, thenproceed forward and descend the stairs.
At the bottom, you’ll findboth Byron and Winterberry standing next to each other. Interact with Byron, exhaust his dialogue options, and you will receive theUmbral Eye of Ethrygas one of your rewards.
Once you have finished speaking with Byron, you cancheck Winterberry’s wares, and her inventory will have expanded after completing Byron’s quest. You will be able to purchase the following items from her:
By successfully completing Byron’s quest in Lords of the Fallen, you’ll earnMoving On Trophy/Achievement.
