There are plenty of enchanting characters inDisney Dreamlight Valley, and the Beauty and the Beast Realm is no exception. Unlocking the door in the Dream Castle whisks you away to the hidden heart of France and the strange, but special characters who live there.

While some realms have simple quests inside their magical doors, others have longer and more detailed adventures for you to embark on. Here, you’ll find a bookworm seeking a life outside her tiny village and a beastly prince with low self-esteem and anger issues. Nothing you can’t handle, right?
How To Unlock The Beauty And The Beast Realm
Headinto the Dream Castleand ascend to thethird floor of doors. The middle door has a swirling rose on it, leading into the Beauty and the Beast realm.
Interact with the door, and Merlin will request12,500 Dreamlight to remove the Night Thornsand enter.
Once unlocked, you appear inside a hidden castle, though it’s currently empty. Headdown the hallwayto find afloating book outsidethe doors to the West Wing.
Follow the floating bookto the library, where you’ll find a rather frantic Belle. She’s not sure what happened, butbooks are flyingoff the shelves.
How To Catch The Flying Books
When you reach the library,talk to Belle. She’ll ask for your help tocatch the flying booksaround the room. There arefive flying booksyou need to catch.
While there are many books in the library, the ones you need will beright in front of you. Like the one you followed,they are gold, and they are frantic.
You’llneed to be quickto catch them. Get in close andinteract with themquickly to pick them up. Make sure you haveall five in your inventorybefore returning to Belle.
There may not be a prompt to “pick up” the books, but when you interact with them as usual, you’ll pick them up.
Once you bring thebooks to Belle, she’ll tell you that she had amisunderstanding with the Beast, and he’s locked himself awayin the West Wing. She wants tocheck on himwithout upsetting him further.
Your job is toenter the West Wing, but you’ll need toaccess the secret passagefirst.
How To Find The Secret Passage In The Library
You’ll notice arolling ladder in the far cornerof the room. Unfortunately, it’s broken. You’ll need to fix it toopen the secret passage. Thankfully,all six piecesare nearby.
Missing Step Location One
Thefirst missing stepis on atable in the frontof the room,to the right. Walk over and pick it up.
Missing Step Location Two
Thesecond missing stepis by thewindow in the backleft corner, next to apile of logs.
Missing Step Location Three
Thethird missing stepis next to theend table behind the sofa. It’s easy to miss, somake sure to get close.
Missing Step Location Four
The last missing step isclose to the ladder, behind a pile ofbooks and two chairs.
Missing Wheel Location One
Thefirst missing wheelis on thedesk to the leftwhen you enter the library.
Missing Wheel Location Two
Thesecond missing wheelis in front of thetea cart near the ladder.
Once you’ve gathered everything,fix the ladderand watch the secret passage open.
How To Make The Candlestick Costume
With the secret passage open,talk to Belle. You’llneed a costumeto get into the West Wing, so the Beast won’t get mad, and Belle has just the materials to do it. You’ll have tosearch the castlefor them, though.

TheCastle Candle Holderis outside the West Wing,sitting on a chairpast the lion statues.

The first Castle Candle isin the library, on the table in theback left corner.
Castle Candle Location Two
The second Castle Candle isin the secret passage, on abarrel to the left.
Castle Candle Location Three
The third Castle Candle isin the first room, on atable by the piano.
Castle Candle Location Four
The fourth candle islocated in the gardens. Head down the stairs, make a left, andpick it up off the tablewith the gardening supplies.
Golden Curtain Location
The Golden Curtain isin the library, sittingon the deskto the left.
Once you have everything,talk to Belle. She’ll sew the costume for you and send you into the West Wing. Put on theCandle Hat and Candlestick Disguise.
You can keep this costume when you return to the village.
Head intothe secret passage, up the stairs, and through the curtain tofind the Beast. He mistakes you for one of his servants and then orders you to leave.
He’s upset thatBelle saw his old portraitand feels like he can’t measure up.Return to Belle, and she’ll suggestmaking a new portrait, despite the fact that neither of you can paint.
How To Make The Enchanted Canvas
Thankfully, you know a wizard that can help. Head back to the village andspeak to Merlin. He’ll send you togather materials for an Enchanted Canvasthat paints itself.
Tomake the canvas, you’ll need the following materials:
Head to the nearest Crafting Station to craft the canvas, thenreturn to Belle. Follow her to the West Wing where she’ll show you where toplace the portrait.
She’ll think of a happy memory, and the canvas paints the scene.Talk to Beastafter he sees the painting, thentalk to Belle.
Belle is grateful for the help, and while shewants to see your village, she won’t abandon Beast in his castle. She’ll need time to convince him.
